SILENCERCO VELOS LBP 762 SUPPRESSOR - LOW BACKPRESSURE RIFLE SILENCER, 5.56 THROUGH .300 RUM

The SilencerCo Velos LBP 762 is an ultra-low-backpressure suppressor built around a 3D-printed Inconel 625 core welded to 17-4 stainless steel front and rear modules. Rated from 5.56 NATO to .300 RUM, full-auto rated, belt-fed rated, and with no minimum barrel length requirement. At 16.5 ounces and 6.4 inches, the Velos LBP vents gas forward through ports around the endcap rather than pushing it back through the action, reducing fouling, blowback, and felt recoil on semi-auto and full-auto hosts. The patented Hoplon Blast Baffle protects the suppressor internals on short barrels and high round-count use. Ships with a Charlie ASR mount and is compatible with Charlie direct thread, Trifecta, YHM, 51T, Dead Air KeyMo, and Plan B by Q. If backpressure has been a problem on your current setup, the Velos LBP is built specifically to address it. 

The Inconel 625 core is the same nickel-chromium alloy used in aerospace and high-heat industrial applications. It's overkill by design. Additive manufacturing allows internal geometry that isn't possible with traditional machining, and SilencerCo uses that to move gas forward instead of rearward. The result is a suppressor that runs cleaner and cooler on the guns that benefit most from it: short-barreled ARs, AKs, and belt-fed platforms.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

Most suppressors just reduce sound. The Velos LBP does that too, but the reason to buy it specifically is what it does to backpressure. If you've run a suppressor on a piston-driven gun and noticed it running dirtier, or put one on a DI AR and dealt with increased bolt carrier fouling and more gas in your face, that's the problem this can is designed to fix. Venting gas forward through the endcap ports instead of letting it cycle back through the action keeps the gun running cleaner and keeps the shooter more comfortable over longer strings. The Inconel 625 core handles heat and corrosion in environments far more demanding than a suppressor, and using additive manufacturing to build it means the internal geometry can be optimized in ways that traditional machining doesn't allow. The over-the-top durability allows for no minimum barrel length restrictions, even on the most agressive schedules of fire. The Charlie mounting system has broad third-party support, but not as much as their Bravo lineup. Front caps are swappable if you want to tune performance for a specific host as well. The Velos LBP series is well-thought-out for shooters who have already run cans and know what they want to fix.
