SILENCERCO VELOS LBP 762 SUPPRESSOR - LOW BACK-PRESSURE, FULL-AUTO RATED

The SilencerCo Velos LBP 762 is a low back-pressure .30 caliber rifle suppressor of SilencerCo's Velos LBP series, rated from .223 REM/5.56 NATO through .300 RUM. Like the rest of the Velos LBP line, it pairs a 3D-printed Inconel 625 core with fully welded 17-4 stainless steel front and rear modules, coming in at 6.4" long, 1.73" in diameter, and 16.5 oz. The Velos LBP 762 (model SU5419) is full-auto rated, compatible with belt-fed machine guns, and has no barrel length restrictions.

That caliber range covers popular gas-operated rifle cartridges like 5.56 NATO, .300 BLK, and .308 Win, and SilencerCo publishes muzzle averages of 137.1 dB on 5.56 NATO, 127.1 dB on .300 BLK, and 138.5 dB on .308 Win. Its low back-pressure technology reduces the gas blown back into the shooter's face and limits the suppressor's effect on the host's operating system, making it a strong match for AR-15s, AR-10s, and other gas-operated rifles. The patented Hoplon blast baffle deflects debris to lengthen service life on short-barreled and full-auto hosts, and SilencerCo finishes the 762 in V-Series Cerakote so it holds up to extreme use.

The Velos LBP 762 uses SilencerCo's Charlie mounting interface and ships ready to run with a SilencerCo Charlie ASR Mount (AC622), a 5/8x24 .30 cal ASR Muzzle Brake, and a .30 cal Charlie Internal Flash Hider Front Cap that tucks an inverted flash hider behind a flat face. The same ASR mount also accepts the ASR Single Port Muzzle Brake, ASR Flash Hider, and ASR Closed-Tine Flash Hider. For a shorter fixed setup, the SilencerCo Charlie Direct Thread Mount threads straight onto the barrel, and the SilencerCo Thread Over Mount (TOM) works with a TOMD Compact Radial Brake.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The Velos LBP 762 really shines on gas-sensitive rifles like the AR-10, SCAR 17, and similar platforms. 5.56 is pretty forgiving, but .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor can get picky about backpressure and whether the gun keeps running right. Cutting down on blowback means less gas in your face, a cleaner-running gun, and a more comfortable day behind the rifle over longer strings, which is exactly what this can was built to fix.

The abuse it can take isn't something to take lightly, either. A 240B or M60 will break before the Velos LBP 762 does. Short-barreled rifles, intense abuse, and the harshest hosts are what the Velos series was made for, and with no barrel length restrictions, aggressive firing schedules aren't something you have to worry about. The front caps are swappable too, so you can set it up for a specific host.

There are tradeoffs. It's on the heavier side, but you can't have over-the-top durability and light weight in the same can, and the extra ounces are worth it if you plan to run it hard. It's also not the quietest 7.62 silencer out there. The SilencerCo Omega 300 DTM or SilencerCo Scythe STM will sound better at the muzzle, but with more backpressure. Plenty of other low backpressure cans are much louder than the Velos series, though, so the 762 strikes a really nice balance between suppression and managing gas.
