B&T Suppressor Buying Guide
The Print-XH RBS (XH-556), SRBS 762 (X-762), VERS36, SQD-M9 (SMG-M-9), MP5 SD-M, TP9/MP9, Impuls-OLS-M, P7 suppressor and TiGER22 Ti: what each B&T suppressor is built for, how B&T's RBS reduces back pressure, mounts, and how they compare.
How to Choose a B&T Suppressor
B&T (Brügger & Thomet) is a Swiss suppressor and firearms maker, and many of its current models use 3D-printed Print-X construction. Several also use a Reduced Backpressure System (RBS). B&T USA uses a few different model names than our product pages, so we list both: ours first, B&T USA's in parentheses.
If the B&T suppressor you want is out of stock, sign up for the back-in-stock email on its product page, or call us at 512-879-1068 to pre-order one. We'll guarantee you one from the next shipment. Shopping for a B&T SBR or integrally suppressed gun? See our B&T SBR and NFA firearms guide.

Swiss Suppressors Since 1991
- Suppressors first. Karl Brügger founded B&T in May 1991 in Spiez, on Lake Thun in Switzerland, and its first products were suppressors for the Swiss market. B&T moved to Thun in 2004 (B&T history).
- OEM supplier. B&T suppressors have been supplied on products from Accuracy International, Beretta, CZ, FN Herstal, Glock, Heckler & Koch, SIG and others. The P7M8/P7M13 suppressor we carry is the one B&T built for HK's P7M13-SD.
- Print-X construction. B&T's Print-X cans are 3D printed by laser bed fusion in titanium or 718 Inconel, with no welds.
- Tested to SOCOM standards. The Print-XH RBS passed SOCOM burn-down testing (240 rounds x 95 cycles, over 22,000 rounds), and the VERS36 passed 6 cycles of the SOCOM Suppressor Reliability Stress Test.
- US support. B&T AG and B&T USA settled their disputes in June 2026, and US customers contact B&T USA for warranty, service, technical support and parts (B&T USA).
B&T's Reduced Backpressure System (RBS), Explained
Back pressure is the gas a suppressor pushes back into your gun. On a gas-operated rifle or a blowback subgun, more of it means a faster bolt, more wear and more gas in your face. B&T's RBS baffle design routes gas to keep that increase small.
- On rifles: the Print-XH RBS limits the bolt speed increase to under 2% (about 1.9% on an M4 carbine). The SRBS 762 uses B&T's Slimline RBS and doesn't need gas tuning on the host.
- On subguns: the SQD-M and MP5 SD-M ship with two end caps. The vented cap turns RBS on for less blowback; the sealed cap turns it off for the most sound reduction.
- Picking a cap: run the vented cap on a subgun or PCC you shoot a lot to cut blowback, and the sealed cap when you want the quietest setup.

RBS keeps the bolt speed increase under 2% on an M4, and a low-flash end cap cuts muzzle flash for low-light shooting. The HUB rear takes SureFire-compatible, KeyMo, ASR, Plan B and direct thread mounts.
B&T Print-XH RBS SC
The Print-XH RBS SC (XH-556 SC) is the 5 in., 8.6 oz version for SBRs and PDWs, with the same titanium and Inconel build, RBS and full-auto rating.

B&T SRBS 762
The SRBS 762 (X-762) is a 3D printed 718 Inconel .30 cal: 6.6 in., full-auto rated with no barrel length limit, built for sustained fire on gas guns.

B&T SRBS 762 Ti
The SRBS 762 Ti is the 100% titanium .30 cal: 7 oz on a direct-mount HUB or 11.9 oz with the included Rotex-SF Ti HUB, rated for .30 cal magnums up to .300 RUM.
Caliber: .30 cal, including .300 Win Mag and .300 RUM | Length: 7.9 in. | Weight: 7 oz with direct-mount HUB; 11.9 oz with Rotex-SF Ti HUB | Diameter: 1.75 in. | Mount: HUB (1.375x24); Rotex-SF Ti HUB included | Firing schedule: Lower-tempo use; not recommended for sustained or full-auto fire
Pick it for precision, hunting and moderate-use gas guns. For full-auto, high round counts or fast strings, the Inconel SRBS 762 is the one to get.

Three sections and two end caps (vented for RBS, sealed for the most suppression) give you six setups. B&T also lists an APC9 SD version with the same specs.
B&T TP9/MP9
The Print-X TP9/MP9 Ti is the dedicated 9mm suppressor for B&T's TP9 and MP9: 9 in., 14 oz, with a proprietary QD mount and an integrated rail.

How B&T Compares
Print-XH RBS vs. Other Low Back Pressure 5.56 Suppressors
| Length | Weight | Mount | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Print-XH RBS | 7.1 in. | 10.5 oz | HUB (1.375x24) |
| Print-XH RBS SC | 5 in. | 8.6 oz | HUB (1.375x24) |
| SilencerCo Velos LBP 556 | 5.98 in. | 15.2 oz | SilencerCo Charlie ASR |
| SilencerCo Velos LBP 556K | 4.76 in. | 12.4 oz | SilencerCo Charlie ASR |
All four are full-auto rated 5.56 cans built around lower back pressure. The B&T cans use the HUB thread, so they take most QD systems. The Velos uses SilencerCo's Charlie ASR mount.
SRBS 762 vs. Other Hard-Use .30 Cal Suppressors
| Length | Weight | Rated up to | |
|---|---|---|---|
| SRBS 762 | 6.6 in. | 14.9 oz | 7.62 / .308 |
| SilencerCo Velos LBP 762 | 6.4 in. | 16.5 oz | .300 RUM |
| CAT AKB | 6.04 in. (HUB) | 17.5 oz Inconel (HUB) | .300 Win Mag |
All three are .30 cals around 6 in. long. The SRBS 762 and the Velos LBP 762 are both full-auto rated low back pressure designs. The SRBS 762 has no barrel length limit; the Inconel AKB needs a 13 in. minimum barrel on 7.62. The Velos and AKB are rated for magnums.
SQD-M9 vs. Other 9mm Subgun Suppressors
| Length | Weight | Material | Mount | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SQD-M9 | 6.1 to 9.2 in. | 13.6 to 19.8 oz | Titanium | SQD 3-lug |
| CAT MOB | 7.39 in. (HUB) | 9.9 oz (HUB) | Titanium | HUB or QD |
| Energetic Armament Sonus | 6.6 in. with mount | 9.8 oz with mount | 17-4 H900 stainless | HUB |
| Exigent Pointman9 | 7 in. | 13.9 oz | Inconel 718 | HUB |
All four are full-auto rated on 9mm. The SQD-M9 is the only one with a built-in 3-lug quick disconnect and an RBS on/off end cap; the others use HUB mounts, so you'd add a 3-lug adapter for an MP5 or APC9.
B&T Mounts and Muzzle Devices
- HUB rear on the rifle cans. The Print-XH RBS, SRBS 762 and VERS36 use the 1.375x24 HUB thread, so they take HUB direct thread mounts and QD systems like KeyMo, ASR and Plan B. Shop rifle mounts.
- SureFire HUB adapter (Rotex-SF). B&T's titanium and stainless Rotex-SF HUB adapter lets any HUB suppressor mount to SureFire SOCOM flash hiders, WarComps and brakes, and to B&T Rotex flash hiders. The SureFire HUB Adapter 5.56 is for 5.56 only; the SureFire HUB Adapter 7.62 covers 5.56 and 7.62.
- Lightweight HUB Mount: a 1.2 oz steel HUB direct thread mount in 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 that fits any HUB suppressor.
- Assault Flash Hider: a 3-prong 5.56 flash hider that works with Rotex-SF HUB mounts and SureFire Fast-Attach suppressors.
- Subguns and pistols: the SQD-M cans lock onto 3-lug barrels; the Impuls cans use B&T Impuls devices. Shop pistol mounts.
