Energetic Armament Sonus 9mm
Capitol Armory is licensed in all suppressor-friendly states. Form 4 or 4473? Read 4473 vs. Form 4 Suppressors. Your choice during checkout. See how suppressors direct to your door works or choose to send to your local dealer.
Under ATF's October 9 policy, you can buy a suppressor on a 4473 in some states. We still recommend a Form 4: it stays compliant if the policy changes, and ATF approvals come back in days.

ENERGETIC ARMAMENT SONUS 9MM SUPPRESSOR - ULTRALIGHT, FULL-AUTO RATED, HUB-COMPATIBLE
The Energetic Armament Sonus 9mm is a full-auto rated 9mm suppressor for subguns, pistols, and PCCs, weighing 9.8 oz and measuring 6.6" long with its direct thread mount. It's built from DFAR certified 17-4 H900 stainless steel with thin walls that keep weight down while increasing internal volume for better sound attenuation. Those thinner walls also improve heat transfer as the suppressor converts muzzle gas energy into heat rather than sound.
Along with 9mm NATO, the Sonus is rated for 300 BLK (subsonic and supersonic), 8.6 BLK subsonic, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and 350 Legend. Barrel length is unrestricted for use under 1,000° F on every rated caliber except 350 Legend, which needs a 10" minimum.
A 1/2x28 direct thread mount comes in the box, and Energetic Armament offers a 5/8x24 direct thread mount as an option. The HUB (1.375x24) thread also accepts standard HUB-pattern 3-lug mounts like the Resilient Titanium 3-Lug Mount for subguns, booster assemblies like the Resilient Titanium Booster Housing for pistols, and the full range of HUB-compatible mounts.
The removable wiped front cap holds a high-temperature silicone wipe that seals around the exiting bullet to control gas flow, for the quietest performance with subsonic ammunition. Two finishes are offered, the original MetOx burnt bronze, which gives each Sonus a one-of-a-kind look, and Black Nitride. The patented Serial ID Ring allows the core to be repaired or swapped for new-generation internals without a new tax stamp.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
The Sonus 9 is right at home on a PCC or subgun, and at 9.8 oz with the direct thread mount, it's light enough to run on a pistol too. Energetic Armament builds it from DFAR certified 17-4 H900 stainless steel and keeps the walls thin, which cuts weight, opens up more internal volume, and moves heat out faster. You still get a full-auto rating on 9mm NATO and no barrel length restrictions under 1,000° F outside of 350 Legend.
HUB (1.375x24) mounting means you aren't locked into a proprietary system. Run a booster on your pistol, direct thread it on your PCC, and put a 3-lug mount on your subgun, all with the same can.
The Serial ID Ring is a smart touch too. Core service on a traditional suppressor means paperwork, wait times, and headaches. On the Sonus, the serial number lives on the ring, so the core can be swapped on its own. You won't see that advantage on a spec sheet, but you'll appreciate it if something ever needs attention. Between the weight, the materials, and the mounting flexibility, we think the Sonus is one of the more complete 9mm suppressor packages out there.
If length matters more to you than that extra bit of sound reduction, check out the Energetic Armament Sonus 9K. It trims things down to 5.05" and 8.1 oz while keeping the same caliber rating and HUB mount.
