B&T SBR and NFA Firearms Guide
B&T's SBRs, integrally suppressed guns and suppressed pistols: the APC9K SD, APC9 PRO SD, SPC9, TP9, GHM9 SD2, APC45, SPC45, APC223, SPR300, Station Six, Hush Puppy, BWC9 and GL-06. What each is for, which suppressor fits, and how the NFA side works.
How to Choose a B&T SBR or NFA Firearm
B&T (Brügger & Thomet), based in Thun, Switzerland, designs its firearms for police and military users and sells many of the same designs to civilians. Most of what we carry is a short-barreled rifle, an integrally suppressed gun, or both.
- Quietest 9mm, suppressor built in: the APC9K SD, APC9 PRO SD-SC or SPC9-PDW SD, or the GHM9 SD2 if you want Glock or P320 magazines.
- 9mm SBR you suppress yourself: the AR-style SPC9 PDW SBR, or the 3.1 lb TP9 SBR.
- .45 ACP: the APC45 Pro SBR, the integrally suppressed APC45 PRO-SD, or the SPC45 PDW SBR.
- 5.56: the piston-driven APC223 SBR.
- Quiet precision: the integrally suppressed bolt-action SPR300 Pro in 300 BLK.
- Suppressed pistols: the bolt-action Station Six-9 (and Station Six-45), a modern Welrod, or the Hush Puppy Glock 19X kit.
- Folding P320 carbine: the BWC9 chassis. 40mm less-lethal: the GL-06.
If the B&T you want is out of stock, sign up for the back-in-stock email on its product page, or call us at 512-879-1068 to pre-order one. We'll guarantee you one from the next shipment.
Built for Police and Military First
- APC (Advanced Police Carbine). B&T introduced the APC line in 2011 as one system across 9mm, .40, 10mm, 5.56, 300 BLK and .308, with over 50% parts commonality and the same controls (B&T history).
- US Army SCW. In 2019 the US Army picked the APC9K for its Sub Compact Weapon, the first submachine gun it had adopted since the M3 Grease Gun in 1943.
- MP9 / TP9. B&T bought the Steyr TMP design in 2001 and reintroduced it, with over 30 changes, as the MP9 and TP9 in 2004.
- SPR300. Developed in 2008 for European special operations teams that needed the most accurate, quietest rifle for urban ranges out to 125 meters, in 300 BLK.
- GL-06. Developed in 2006 when the French National Police needed a dedicated, accurate 40mm less-lethal launcher.
- Hydraulic buffer. The APC9, APC223, SPC9, SPC45 and GHM9 use B&T's hydraulic buffer system to cut felt recoil.
How the NFA Side Works
- SBRs and suppressors: since January 1, 2026, the NFA tax on short-barreled rifles and suppressors is $0. You still file a Form 4, and we file it electronically.
- Integrally suppressed guns like the APC9K SD and SPR300 Pro include a suppressor, and the SD SBR kits ship with the SBR and its suppressor under separate part numbers.
- Destructive devices: the GL-06 is a destructive device, and the $200 tax still applies. We can file the Form 4 directly only for Texas residents; outside Texas, we transfer it to a dealer you choose.
- Form 1: the BWC9 chassis turns your SIG P320 into an SBR, so you need an approved Form 1 before you install it.
- Trust and fingerprints: we can set up an NFA trust and send an at-home fingerprint kit. If you already have an EFT file or want prints done digitally, you can upload your EFT file right on our site. New to NFA items? Start with how to buy a suppressor.
B&T 9mm SBRs and Integrally Suppressed Guns
B&T APC9K SD
The APC9K SD is an APC9K PRO SBR with B&T's full-length integral suppressor. The ported barrel and suppressor bring supersonic 9mm down to subsonic, under 130 dB.
Model: APC9KSD SBR; APC9 SD suppressor SD-988365-US | Suppressor: 10.8 in., 19 oz | Stock: Telescopic | Controls: Fully ambidextrous, two-stage trigger | Includes: Backup sights, cleaning kit, sling, soft case, one 30-round magazine
It has the non-reciprocating auto-folding charging handle and hydraulic buffer of the APC9 PRO line.
B&T APC9 PRO SD-SC
The APC9 PRO SD-SC pairs a 5.7 in. ported barrel with a subcompact integral suppressor, for a shorter suppressed APC9 that still takes supersonic 9mm down to subsonic, under 130 dB.
Barrel: 5.7 in., ported | Suppressor: Subcompact integral | Stock: Telescopic | Controls: Fully ambidextrous upper and lower | Includes: One 30-round magazine, soft case
B&T SPC9-PDW SD
The SPC9-PDW SD is B&T's AR-style 9mm SBR with an integral RBS suppressor on a 4.5 in. barrel, 17.8 in. long with the stock collapsed.
Model: BT-500003-SBR-SD-TS-KIT; RBS suppressor SD-123063-US | Barrel: 4.5 in., 1:10 twist | Length: 17.8 in. | Stock: Minimal telescoping | Controls: Fully ambidextrous, non-reciprocating charging handle, two-stage trigger
The RBS suppressor cuts back pressure, so it has softer recoil, less ejection port noise and less blowback than a standard suppressed PCC.
B&T GHM9 SD2
The GHM9 SD2 is an integrally suppressed 9mm pistol with a 6.9 in. ported barrel and a modular Print-X titanium suppressor, and its lower swaps to take B&T, Glock or SIG P320 magazines.
Barrel: 6.9 in., ported | Suppressor: Print-X titanium, modular (SD-145052) | Length: 23 to 29 in. depending on brace position | Weight: Just over 6 lb | Includes: Tailhook brace, sling, sights, rail segments, one magazine, soft case
It uses many APC9 PRO components, a two-stage trigger and the hydraulic buffer.
B&T SPC9 PDW SBR
The SPC9 PDW SBR is an AR-style 9mm with a hydraulic buffer, a minimal telescopic stock and a 3-lug muzzle, ready for a 3-lug suppressor.
Model: BT-500003-SBR-TS | Muzzle: 3-lug | Magazine: 30 rounds | Stock: Telescopic | Includes: Sling, iron sights, one magazine, cleaning kit, soft case
It handles like an AR-15, with ideas from the MP5 and APC9. We also carry the SPC9 PDW pistol in Coyote Tan with an Aimpoint ACRO.
B&T TP9 SBR
The TP9 SBR is the civilian semi-auto MP9: 3.1 lb with its side-folding stock, 20.6 in. long, on a 5.1 in. barrel.
Model: BT-301-N-SBR-ST-FS (white) | Barrel: 5.1 in. | Length: 20.6 in. | Weight: 3.1 lb | Action: Locking rotating barrel | Muzzle: B&T tri-lug for the TP9/MP9 suppressor
Its tri-lug is B&T's own pattern, so it takes the dedicated B&T TP9/MP9 suppressor.
B&T .45 ACP SBRs
The APC45 and SPC45 use B&T's .45 spec 3-lug. It's larger than the standard 9mm 3-lug, so it takes the B&T SQD-M 45 or a .45 3-lug mount from SilencerCo or Rugged.
B&T APC45 Pro SBR
The APC45 Pro SBR is the .45 ACP APC with a 6.8 in. barrel and B&T's folding MBT stock.
Model: BT-36044-SBR-MBT | Barrel: 6.8 in. | Muzzle: B&T .45 spec 3-lug | Magazine: 25 rounds | Stock: MBT, side folding | Controls: Ambidextrous safety, mag release, bolt hold-open and charging handle
B&T APC45 PRO-SD
The APC45 PRO-SD is the integrally suppressed APC45: a 5.7 in. barrel with the suppressor inside the M-LOK handguard, so it adds no length at the muzzle.
Model: BT-360440-SD-KIT (BT-36044-SBR-SD-TS and SD-123849-US) | Barrel: 5.7 in. | Length: 14.8 in. | Stock: Telescoping | Upper: Monolithic, with non-reciprocating ambidextrous charging handle
B&T SPC45 PDW SBR
The SPC45 PDW SBR is the .45 ACP SPC: a 4.5 in. barrel, telescopic stock, and both an AR-style T-handle and a side-folding non-reciprocating charging handle.
Model: BT-500168-SBR-TS | Barrel: 4.5 in. | Length: 22.2 in. | Muzzle: B&T .45 spec 3-lug | Magazine: 13 rounds
B&T Rifle SBRs
B&T APC223 SBR
The APC223 SBR is a 5.56 SBR on a short-stroke gas piston with a 3-position adjustable gas valve, an 8.7 in. barrel and B&T's folding MBT stock.
Caliber: 5.56 NATO / .223 | Barrel: 8.7 in., 1/2x28 with a SureFire SOCOM-compatible flash hider | Length: 29.74 in. | Weight: 6.7 lb | Operation: Short-stroke gas piston, 3-position gas valve, hydraulic buffer | Stock: MBT folding, 8-position length of pull
The gas valve lets you tune it as fouling builds up during long suppressed sessions, and every control is ambidextrous. It's suppressor-ready from the start; see suppressor pairing.
B&T SPR300 Pro
The SPR300 Pro is an integrally suppressed bolt-action 300 BLK with a 121 dB sound signature on subsonic ammo and sub-MOA accuracy.
Caliber: 300 BLK (optimized for subsonic) | Sound: 121 dB with subsonic ammo | Magazines: AR-pattern; two 10-round included | Takedown: Quick takedown with no point-of-impact shift | Includes: Stock, 30mm rings, NVD rail extension, QD bipod, cleaning kit, sling, soft case
Ours started as a pistol and was converted to an SBR by Capitol Armory. Optic not included.
B&T Suppressed Pistols: Station Six and Hush Puppy
B&T Station Six-9
The Station Six is a modern Welrod: an integrally suppressed bolt-action pistol with a rotating bolt, a 5.1 in. barrel and a 6-round magazine, in 9mm or .45 ACP.
Calibers: 9mm (Station Six-9) or .45 ACP (Station Six-45) | Barrel: 5.1 in. | Action: Bolt action, rotating bolt | Magazine: 6 rounds | Includes: Pistol, Station Six suppressor, soft case
Its suppressor uses wipes, so it's very quiet but good for a finite number of shots before it needs to be repacked. Because the pistol is bolt action, the higher back pressure doesn't affect how it runs. For range days, you can mount another suppressor and save the wipe can. See the Station Six-45.
B&T Hush Puppy
The Hush Puppy is a complete kit: a modified Glock 19X with a slide-lock switch, a 3 in. wipe suppressor, an Aimpoint ACRO P-2 and 100 rounds of B&T subsonic 9mm.
Pistol: Glock 19X, 4.5 in. threaded barrel (M13.5x1 LH), 17+1 | Suppressor: 3 in., 3 oz aluminum wipe design, with extension | Optic: Aimpoint ACRO P-2, milled 4mm deeper than a standard MOS cut | Includes: 100 rounds B&T subsonic 9mm
Flip the switch and the slide stays locked: no action noise and no ejected brass. Flip it back and it runs as a normal semi-auto Glock 19X. The suppressor threads on without a booster, and the wipes are a consumable you'll replace. With the suppressor on, it's slightly longer than a Glock 34.
B&T BWC9 Chassis and GL-06 Launcher
B&T BWC9
The BWC9 is a folding chassis that turns a SIG P320 into a compact folding carbine, with an Aimpoint ACRO P-2 installed.
Fits: SIG P320 Carry slide and fire control unit (not included) | Optic: Aimpoint ACRO P-2, factory installed | NFA: Requires an approved Form 1 to register your P320 as an SBR before installing
It uses your P320's existing slide and fire control unit with no modifications.
B&T GL-06
The GL-06 is B&T's 40x46mm single-shot less-lethal launcher with a rifled 11 in. barrel for point-of-aim accuracy, a side-folding stock and an Aimpoint ACRO C-2.
Caliber: 40x46mm | Barrel: 11 in., rifled, 1:47 twist | Length: 15.2 in. folded; 23.5 in. extended | Weight: 4.6 lb | NFA: Destructive device: $200 tax; Form 4 direct for Texas residents only
Outside Texas, tell us your dealer in the order comments and have them send their FFL/SOT to [email protected], and we'll transfer it to them.

B&T SBR and NFA Firearms FAQ
What is the B&T Hush Puppy?
A complete suppressed pistol kit: a modified Glock 19X with a slide-lock switch, a 3 in. wipe suppressor, an Aimpoint ACRO P-2 and 100 rounds of B&T subsonic 9mm. With the slide locked, the action stays closed for no cycling noise and no ejected brass.
Can I buy the Hush Puppy suppressor by itself?
We sell the Hush Puppy as the complete kit, with the pistol, suppressor, optic and ammo.
Do the Hush Puppy wipes wear out?
Yes. The wipes are a consumable and need replacing over time. You can add ablative material between the wipes for more suppression.
What is the B&T Station Six?
A modern Welrod: an integrally suppressed bolt-action pistol in 9mm or .45 ACP with a 5.1 in. barrel and a 6-round magazine. Its wipe suppressor is very quiet but good for a finite number of shots before it needs to be repacked.
What is the B&T BWC9?
A folding chassis for the SIG P320 that turns it into a compact carbine, with an Aimpoint ACRO P-2 included. You supply the P320 Carry slide and fire control unit.
Do I need a Form 1 for the BWC9?
Yes. The BWC9 makes your P320 a short-barreled rifle, so you need an approved Form 1 registering it as an SBR before you install it.
Is the B&T GL-06 a destructive device?
Yes. The GL-06 is a destructive device, so the $200 NFA tax still applies. We can file the Form 4 directly only for Texas residents; outside Texas, we transfer it to your dealer.
What is the APC9K SD?
An APC9K PRO SBR with B&T's full-length integral suppressor (10.8 in., 19 oz). The ported barrel and suppressor take supersonic 9mm down to subsonic, under 130 dB.
What's the difference between the APC9K SD and the APC9 PRO SD-SC?
The APC9K SD has the full-length integral suppressor. The APC9 PRO SD-SC pairs a 5.7 in. ported barrel with a shorter subcompact suppressor.
Which suppressor fits the B&T TP9 SBR?
The dedicated B&T TP9/MP9 suppressor. The TP9 uses B&T's own tri-lug pattern.
Which suppressor fits the APC9 or SPC9?
Any suppressor that fits an in-spec 9mm 3-lug, including B&T's SQD-M9.
Will a 9mm 3-lug suppressor fit the APC45 or SPC45?
No. They use B&T's .45 spec 3-lug, which is larger. Use the B&T SQD-M 45 or a .45 3-lug mount from SilencerCo or Rugged.
Does the GHM9 SD2 take Glock magazines?
Yes. Its lower swaps to take B&T, Glock or SIG P320 magazines.
How quiet is the SPR300 Pro?
121 dB with subsonic 300 BLK, in an integrally suppressed bolt-action rifle with sub-MOA accuracy.
Why does the APC223 have an adjustable gas valve?
It's a short-stroke piston gun. The 3-position valve lets you tune it as fouling builds up during long suppressed sessions so it keeps cycling reliably.
Is there an NFA tax on B&T SBRs in 2026?
Since January 1, 2026, the tax on SBRs and suppressors is $0, but you still file a Form 4. The $200 tax still applies to destructive devices like the GL-06.
