SilencerCo Spectre 9K

SILENCERCO SPECTRE 9K SUPPRESSOR - ULTRA-COMPACT, TITANIUM, FULL-AUTO RATED

The SilencerCo Spectre 9K is an ultra-compact 9mm pistol suppressor and the shorter member of SilencerCo's Spectre Series, built entirely from Grade 5 and Grade 9 titanium. At 3.69" long and 3.17 oz, with a 1.37" diameter, it keeps added length and weight to a minimum on pistols, subguns, and PCCs. The Spectre 9K (model SU5528) is rated for 9mm and 300 BLK, carrying full-auto ratings on subsonic and supersonic 9mm and on subsonic 300 BLK, plus a semi-auto rating on supersonic 300 BLK.

A short, fully welded titanium body makes the Spectre 9K especially well suited to compact handguns and short subguns, and SilencerCo positions the Spectre Series for personal protection, low-visibility applications, and days at the range. SilencerCo rates the Spectre 9K at 142.9 dB on 9mm from a pistol and 144.9 dB on subsonic 300 BLK from an 8.5" AR.

Every mounting option runs through SilencerCo's Alpha system. Pistol shooters pair the included Spectre 9 Piston Housing with a piston matched to their barrel threads, sold separately as individual SilencerCo Pistons or in the SilencerCo Common Piston Kit (AC728), and a SilencerCo Fixed Barrel Spacer (AC22) lets that same piston setup run on a fixed barrel. Carbines and subguns with fixed barrels can use the SilencerCo Alpha Direct Thread Mount, though SilencerCo cautions that it should never go on a pistol with an unlocking or moving barrel. For quick detach, the SilencerCo Alpha ASR Mount locks over an ASR muzzle device such as the ASR Muzzle Brake, and the SilencerCo 3-Lug Mount fits factory 3-lug barrels or a SilencerCo 3-Lug Barrel Adapter, using 9mm 3-lug devices only.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

At 3.17 oz, the Spectre 9K weighs less than most rimfire suppressors, and that's a number worth sitting with for a full-auto rated 9mm can. It comes in lighter than a loaded Glock 17 magazine, and at 3.69" it adds almost nothing to the overall length of a compact or subcompact host. For shooters who want suppression without the visual and handling footprint of a standard-length pistol can, that matters.

Sound reduction is where the Spectre 9K gives ground, since a 3.69" suppressor won't match what a full-length pistol can produces. If maximum quiet is your goal, the SilencerCo Spectre 9 is the better pick, adding about an inch and less than an ounce for noticeably more suppression. If compact size is the priority, the Spectre 9K is the right tool.

Setup is easy because the Alpha accessory lineup covers essentially every common pistol and subgun mounting configuration. If you're already running SilencerCo pistons on another compatible can, those transfer directly. The Alpha ASR Mount also opens the door to running the Spectre 9K on a 9mm PCC or AR-9 with a quick-detach setup, which is a useful capability in a package this small.
