SilencerCo Spectre 9

SILENCERCO SPECTRE 9 SUPPRESSOR - ULTRALIGHT TITANIUM, FULL-AUTO RATED

The SilencerCo Spectre 9 is an ultralight, fully welded 9mm pistol suppressor built entirely from Grade 5 and Grade 9 titanium for pistols, subguns, and PCCs. It weighs 3.9 oz and measures 4.76" long with a 1.37" diameter. The Spectre 9 (model SU5422) is rated for 9mm, 300 BLK, .357 Mag, and .38 Special. It is full-auto rated on both subsonic and supersonic 9mm and on subsonic 300 BLK, while supersonic 300 BLK is rated for semi-auto use.

SilencerCo designed the Spectre 9 to stay short and light for minimal impact on the host weapon, which makes it a strong match for personal protection, low-visibility applications, and days at the range. Whether it rides on a duty-size pistol, a compact subgun, or a pistol caliber carbine, the titanium construction keeps added weight at the muzzle to a minimum.

The rear of the Spectre 9 uses SilencerCo's Alpha mounting system, which supports four ways to attach it. For tilting-barrel pistols, the included Spectre 9 Piston Housing accepts SilencerCo Pistons, which are sold separately in multiple thread pitches, or as a five-piston SilencerCo Common Piston Kit (AC728), and a SilencerCo Fixed Barrel Spacer (AC22) adapts the piston setup to fixed-barrel hosts. The SilencerCo Alpha Direct Thread Mount is for fixed barrels only, and SilencerCo warns against using it on pistols with unlocking or moving barrels, since that can damage the suppressor. For quick attach and detach, the SilencerCo Alpha ASR Mount pairs with ASR muzzle devices like the ASR Flash Hider, and the SilencerCo 3-Lug Mount works with 9mm 3-lug barrels or a SilencerCo 3-Lug Barrel Adapter. SilencerCo specifies that only 9mm 3-lug muzzle devices should be used with the 9mm 3-Lug Mount.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The Spectre 9 is the can we point people to when weight really matters. Lightweight PCCs and bedside pistols are both great fits, because a suppressor that barely changes how the gun handles is one you'll actually want to leave mounted. In our experience, the slim 1.37" body also fits most suppressor-ready holsters, which is a big plus for a pistol you plan to keep ready to go.

It isn't as quiet as a full-size 9mm can, and we won't pretend otherwise, but its size to suppression ratio is impressive for something this small. On a CZ Scorpion, MP5, APC9, or Sig MPX, it's right at home and keeps a compact subgun feeling compact. Setup is easy too, since the Alpha accessory lineup makes it simple to find the right piston or mount for your host, and SilencerCo pistons you already own for other compatible cans carry right over.

If you like the Spectre 9 but want the absolute smallest footprint, the SilencerCo Spectre 9K gives up some suppression for an even shorter, lighter package. For shooters who want ultralight performance with more of the sound reduction intact, the Spectre 9 is the better tradeoff.
