THUNDER BEAST MAGNUS SUPPRESSOR
The Thunder Beast Magnus is the full-size flagship of TBAC's Magnus suppressor line. At 9 inches long and 1.8 inches in diameter, the Magnus has more internal volume than most .30 caliber suppressors on the market. TBAC designed the Magnus to produce the lowest sound levels they could achieve in a titanium rifle suppressor, and the result is suppression significantly better than the TBAC Ultra 9 (Gen2). On a 6.5 Creedmoor, the Magnus measures under 112 dB at the shooter's ear.
Despite the full-size dimensions, the all-titanium construction keeps the CB version at 14.8 ounces. TBAC's 360-degree fully-welded baffle core maintains the precision-grade POI (Point of Impact) repeatability that the brand is built on. The Magnus handles everything from .223 up to .300 Norma Magnum.
Three mounting configurations are available. The Magnus-CB uses the same taper mount found on the Ultra 5, Ultra 7, Ultra 9, and Dominus-CB. It adds minimal length and weight while maintaining a solid connection. The Magnus-SR uses the same SR muzzle devices as the Dominus-SR, Dominus-K-SR, and 338 Ultra. It uses a locking ring for secondary retention under adverse conditions and is the only Magnus variant rated for full-auto use. The Magnus-HUB features a 1.375x24 thread pattern, making it compatible with Dead Air Key-Mo, SilencerCo ASR, Q Plan B, Xeno, direct thread, and other third-party mounts. TBAC considers the HUB version intended for advanced users familiar with their chosen mounting system.
If you need less length, the Magnus S at 6.9 inches offers suppression between the Ultra 7 (Gen2) and Ultra 9 (Gen2). The Magnus K at 5.5 inches is the shortest option. For .338 or .375 caliber versions, call us to set up a custom order.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S TAKE
The Magnus is TBAC's answer to the suppression-first crowd. The 1.8-inch diameter and 9-inch length give it the volume needed to put up numbers that compete with anything in the .30 caliber space. For most TBAC users, the CB version will be the standard choice since the mount system is shared across the Ultra and Dominus CB lines. The SR version is there for anyone who needs full-auto capability or wants the extra retention from the locking ring. The HUB model is the first time Thunder Beast has offered compatibility with Bravo/Omega-pattern mounts, opening the door to ASR, Key-Mo, Xeno, Plan B, direct thread, or CB muzzle devices. That mount flexibility is a big deal if you're running multiple hosts with different mounts. The Magnus fits best on a full-size rifle where the shooter prioritizes maximum sound reduction and can accommodate the 9-inch length.

ABSOLUTE, RAW DB REDUCTION
Thunder Beast's goal when designing the Magnus was to produce the quietest .30 caliber suppressor on the market. They set out to ensure that the Magnus would beat the competition on nearly every rifle caliber. After heavy research and development, a rifle silencer was produced that boasts at the ear numbers similar to those found while shooting 22LR.
While the Magnus is incredibly quiet, it also does not sacrifice the qualities that put Thunder Beast on the map. It's still designed with the precision shooter in mind and is still a lightweight titanium suppressor. While being full size at 9" long and 1.8" in diameter, it still weighs under 15 ounces. Additionally, it comes in three different models with different mounting systems.
The Magnus-CB uses the same mounts as found on the Ultra 5, Ultra 7, Ultra 9, and Dominus-CB. It's a small muzzle device with a strong taper, adding minimal length and weight while ensuring a strong connection.
The Magnus-SR uses the SR muzzle devices found on the Dominus-SR, Dominus-K-SR, and 338 Ultra suppressors. It utilizes a locking ring to maintain a solid mount under adverse conditions.
The Magnus-HUB is a first for TBAC, featuring a 1.374x24 rear end. This allows it to accept any "Bravo" or "Omega" style mounting options. You can use your favorite mount while still sporting a Thunder Beast can.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
The Magnus from Thunder Beast is a big step as far as upping their game with raw suppression. The Magnus goes toe-to-toe with the industry leaders in putting out low numbers. The 1.8" diameter and 9" long silencer has a ton of volume but is still lightweight. The CB will be the most common model for most TBAC users, although it is nice to offer the SR series for anyone needing a bit of extra retention. For the first time, Thunder Beast has released a silencer that can utilize the Bravo/Omega mounting system. This allows the Magnus-HUB to be used with ASR, Key-Mo, Xeno, Quickie, Direct Thread, or CB muzzle devices. The HUB may be the most interesting model, as it brings a ton of mounting versatility that previous offerings were lacking. The Magnus is right at home on a full-size rifle where the shooter needs a light can, but still wants the maximum amount of decibel reduction they can get.
