THE 338 ULTRA GEN 2
The Thunder Beast 338 Ultra Gen 2 is TBAC's quietest .338 caliber suppressor, designed for .338 Lapua Magnum and rated down to 16" barrels. The Gen 2 baffle stack was completely redesigned, delivering approximately 3 dB better suppression than the original while weighing 0.2 ounces less. On .338 Lapua, the Gen 2 averages 134.6 dB at the muzzle and 121.3 dB at the shooter's ear. Little to no first-round pop in most applications.
TBAC suppressors have been the most popular choice among the top 50 Precision Rifle Series competitors for many years. The reduced concussion and recoil allow shooters to spot their own impacts and analyze the trace without a spotter. The 338 Ultra handles multi-rifle duty across 6mm, 6.5mm, .260, .308, and most .30 caliber magnums.
The 338 Ultra Gen 2 is available in BA (Brake Attach) and SR (Secondary Retention) configurations. The BA version uses the same mount as the original 338 Ultra and is compatible with both 338BA and 30BA muzzle devices. It can also work with CB brake mounts using a CB2BA adapter. The SR version features TBAC's quick attach/detach mount with locking secondary retention, selected by Accuracy International North America for their Advanced Sniper Rifle submission.

EVEN MORE QUIET
The Thunder Beast 338 ULTRA was quiet. Really quiet. It was quiet enough to cause shot timers to not register properly during competition. TBAC took this, and improved it. The Gen 2 has 3dB better performance on 338 Laupa, and is 7dB more quiet on .308. It retails all of the great aspects of the previous, with the standard (BA) version still being under 18 ounces. It's just over 134 dB at the muzzle with 338 Lapua, and low 120s at the ear.
The 338 Ultra Gen 2 is available in both standard (BA) and SR models. The Ultra 338 utilizes the same BA brakes, and is compatible with both 338 BA and 30 BA muzzle devices. The 338 Ultra - SR uses TBAC's SR series of muzzle devices for additional retention.
