SILENCERCO SCYTHE STM MODULAR RIFLE SUPPRESSOR - 5.56 THROUGH .300 RUM SILENCER
The SilencerCo Scythe STM is a modular multi-caliber rifle suppressor built from 17-4 stainless steel with a high-temperature Cerakote finish and a full-auto rating for hard use on any barrel length. Remove one baffle section and the Scythe STM runs at 5.1 inches and 10.4 ounces for a compact, maneuverable setup, or run it full length at 6.9 inches and 14.7 ounces when maximum sound suppression matters most. Caliber coverage spans .223/5.56 through .300 RUM, so one suppressor can move between a short-barreled 5.56 pistol and a magnum bolt gun. The Bravo/HUB 1.375x24 mounting system opens up compatibility with SilencerCo's ASR, Dead Air's Key-Mo, Plan-B by Q, and dozens of other quick-detach adapters on the market. If you're searching for a rifle suppressor that adapts to the gun instead of the other way around, the Scythe STM is built for that job.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
Modular suppressors usually mean a tradeoff somewhere, either the mechanism to remove a baffle section is fragile or the sound performance drops off a cliff in the shorter configuration. The Scythe STM doesn't make you eat that tradeoff. At 119.2 dB on 300 Blackout subsonic and 128.6 dB on .308 Win in the long configuration, it's putting up numbers that compete with dedicated non-modular cans, and swapping on and off the baffle extension is a quick field-friendly task. The full-auto rating and lack of any minimum barrel length are the two specs that matter quite a few shooters. A lot of suppressors in this weight class carry barrel restrictions that rule out SBR builds or hard-use. The Scythe STM has none of that, so it's one of the few cans that works across a short SBR, a full length rifle, and a magnum bolt gun without asking you to check a chart first. Being on the Bravo/HUB mounting standard means you're not locked into the 5/8x24 direct thread mount that ships with the silencer. SilencerCo, Dead Air, Q, and most other major manufacturers already make mounting systems that will fit, keeping your mounting options open even if your preferences change down the road.
