DANIEL DEFENSE PCC SBR - 8.3" 9MM SHORT BARREL RIFLE (SBR), CZ SCORPION MAG COMPATIBLE

The Daniel Defense PCC SBR is an ultra-compact 9mm pistol caliber carbine built as an AR15-style short barrel rifle. It pairs an 8.3" cold hammer forged S2W barrel with a free-floating 7" DD4 M-LOK rail, weighs 6.1 lbs, and measures 22.5" to 27" overall. It's compatible with CZ Scorpion magazines, which Daniel Defense notes are readily available, affordable, offered in multiple capacities, and easy to load without a mag loader.

Both receivers are significantly shorter than those on a standard AR15-style rifle, which keeps the PCC SBR portable and highly maneuverable. The fully ambidextrous lower lets you operate important controls without moving your dominant hand off the grip, and Daniel Defense uses a proprietary pushbutton mag release in place of the paddle-style release found on most PCCs. The DD Buttstock works with a hydraulic buffer system that significantly reduces the recoil typically associated with direct-blowback firearms and, according to Daniel Defense, functions reliably suppressed or unsuppressed.

The 1/2x28 threaded barrel ships with a DD A2 Flash Hider and accommodates standard aftermarket 9mm muzzle devices. Daniel Defense designed its own Daniel Defense NULL 9Ti for direct-blowback systems like the DD PCC, making it a natural pairing. The DD4 rail's M-LOK attachment points accept lights, sling mounts, a vertical foregrip, and a wide range of other AR accessories. Sights are sold separately.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The PCC SBR gives you the same compact 9mm platform as Daniel Defense's PCC Pistol, but with a true DD stock instead of a brace. With a hydraulic buffer taking the edge off direct-blowback recoil and a 1/2x28 threaded barrel, it's a natural suppressor host, and any of the 9mm cans in the Compatibility section below will pair up well.

CZ Scorpion magazines are another plus, since they're affordable and easy to find in multiple capacities.
