7.62 - Now Professionally Quiet
The Alley Cat 7.62 is designed for use with 7.62 caliber projects in modern semi-automatic and select-fire firearms. This silencer is built for the needs of today's modern professional utilizing 7.62 rifles. CAT's choice to specifically tailor the suppressor for one specific use means unmatched sound-signature and blast reduction compared to "do-it-all" silencers and superior mission-specific performance.
The concussive force from gunfire has become a rising concern in modern combat. With more engagements taking place in small spaces, the side effects of muzzle blast have been noted. To combat these problems, Alley Cat silencers are focused on reducing both sound signature and concussive force. Gunfire in tunnels, caves, or hallways can make staying on target more difficult for the operator as well as have consequences after the mission. An increase in ailments such as severe headaches can be greatly reduced, allowing professionals to be prepared for the next mission.
Traditional baffles aren't found in CAT silencers. Instead, a unique system is present to allow the full volume of the suppressor to be utilized at once. High-pressure areas are constantly being bled into areas of lower pressure. When these 'lower pressure' areas become higher, that pressure is then redirected into other areas. This constant flow and cycling of the gas provides excellent decibel reduction, far less backpressure, and virtually no muzzle blast.
Alley Cat silencers are optimized for a single caliber for maximum performance, but also available in different materials depending on the shooter's needs. Titanium models are optimum for those who need a very light-weight firearm and will not experience extreme schedules of fire. Inconel is available for select-fire weapons, hard-use tasks, or extremely short barrels. With normal and intended use, Alley Cat suppressors should have a service life exceeding 100,000 rounds.
Not available on the public-designed CAT silencers, the Alley Cat family uses a proprietary coating exclusively for LE/MIL/GOV use. This product is designed for law enforcement, security professionals, military service members, and all government use.
