YHM RESONATOR R2 7.62 SUPPRESSOR - .17 HMR THROUGH .300 RUM, FULL-AUTO RATED, HUB MOUNT
The YHM Resonator R2 is a rifle suppressor built with a tubeless design from heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel and a 718 Inconel blast baffle, rated from .17 HMR all the way up to .300 Remington Ultra Mag. At 16 ounces, the R2 is full-auto rated and built to handle rigorous use while keeping weight down. It uses the same thread pitch as the SilencerCo Omega, Dead Air Nomad, and Energetic Armament Vox, giving it access to YHM's QD mounting system along with direct thread, ASR, Key-Mo, and Plan-B by Q mounting solutions. If you're searching for a fairly lightweight, quiet, and cost-effective suppressor that covers a wide range of calibers, the Resonator R2 is built for exactly that role.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
The Resonator R2 from YHM is filled with features people desire in a modern 7.62 silencer. Its moderate weight and length aren't too long or heavy for most firearms; its tubeless design allows for more volume, resulting in better decibel reduction; and it's got a modular mounting system. Aside from the outstanding balance of size, weight, and dB reduction, the mounting system makes the R2 shine. It utilizes the same thread pitch popularized by the SilencerCo Omega and later used on several other suppressors. This has resulted in half a dozen mounting options for the R2 and any suppressor sharing that same thread pitch. This matters for two reasons: it future-proofs the suppressor as more companies make compatible parts, and it lets you use a mounting system you may already be invested in or prefer over YHM's own. The balance and flexibility of the R2 comes in at a fantastic price point and should be on the radar of anyone who wants a versatile, well-rounded rifle suppressor.
