OPTIMIZED FOR SHORT-BARREL RIFLES
The SureFire SOCOM556-SB2 is a 5.56mm suppressor built for rifles with barrels shorter than 10 inches. Based on the SOCOM556-RC2 platform, the SB2 features a larger bore diameter and advanced internal design that reduce back pressure and gas blowback at the shooter. The larger bore also minimizes the risk of baffle strikes from unstable projectiles, which is a common concern with ultra-short barrels and certain unjacketed frangible or "green" ammunition types.
The SOCOM556-SB2 uses SureFire's Fast-Attach mounting system and is compatible with SureFire SOCOM-series muzzle devices including the Warcomp, SOCOM Muzzle Brake, and SOCOM Flash Hider. Construction is high-temperature Inconel alloy and stainless steel, CNC laser-welded for durability under sustained and full-auto fire.
