OPTIMIZED FOR SHORT BARREL RIFLES
The SureFire SOCOM556-SB2 is a modified version of the SOCOM556-RC2 suppressor and is designed specifically for 5.56mm rifles with barrels shorter than 10 inches. The SureFire SOCOM556-SB features an advanced core design to reduce back pressure and gas blowback on the operator. The SureFire SOCOM556-SB2 features a larger bore to minimize the probability of baffle strikes due to unstable projectiles, a common issue with ultra-short-barreled weapons and some types of unjacketed frangible and “green” ammunition.
The SureFire SOCOM556-SB2 is available in black or flat dark earth Cerakote colors.

The SOCOM556-SB2 is best suited for shooters who enjoy the RC2, however want a version rated for shorted barrels. SureFire is known for having low blowback suppressors, and the SB2 is no different.
