The Fix by Q is an 8.6 Blackout SBR built around a one-piece receiver and a 45-degree short-throw bolt handle for fast, smooth cycling. The 8" barrel is threaded M18x1.5 and ready to run a suppressor out of the box. A fully adjustable folding stock, standard M4 grip, and AR-15 style safety and magazine release make The Fix feel familiar to anyone coming from a modern sporting rifle, while a standard 1913 Picatinny rail keeps optic mounting simple. As a short-barreled rifle, The Fix ships and transfers under all applicable SBR/NFA rules.

Ergonomics are a big step up from older bolt-action platforms. The M4 grip opens the door to standard AR-15 grip options, and the controls sit right where you'd expect if you've run an AR before. The 1913 Picatinny top rail means no extra adapter rails or odd mounting solutions are needed for your optic, and the Q-Sert handguard accepts lights, lasers, or a bipod when you want to add them.

The M18x1.5 thread pitch is a reasonably common standard for 338 caliber barrels, so The Fix is ready to accept most muzzle devices built for that caliber, not just Q's own lineup.

The 45-degree short-throw bolt handle speeds up follow-up shots compared to a traditional 90-degree throw, and it doesn't feel gimmicky once you've run it a few times. Where this rifle really earns its keep is the controls. Putting an M4 grip and AR-style safety and mag release on a bolt gun sounds simple, but it means there's effectively no learning curve if you already shoot an AR-15.
