The PWS MK109 MOD 2-M is a 9.75" .300 Blackout short barrel rifle built on the PWS Long Stroke Piston System, with a fully ambidextrous lower receiver made from 7075-T651 forged aluminum. Weighing 6.2 lbs unloaded and optimized for suppressor use, this compact AR-15 platform SBR pairs PWS's piston reliability with a cartridge that runs well both suppressed and unsuppressed.

A 3-setting Adjustable Gas System lets you fine-tune gas flow for different shooting conditions, ammunition types, and suppressor use. The suppressor optimized design minimizes back pressure, reduces gas blowback, and optimizes gas flow for a cleaner, more comfortable shooting experience. The 41V50 steel barrel uses a 1:6 twist, built to deliver accuracy with .300 Blackout ammunition, especially heavier-grain subsonic loads, and PWS rates the MK109 for sub-MOA accuracy with high-grade ammunition.

The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24 and ships with the PWS FRC 2-Port Compensator, which is designed to mitigate recoil, muzzle rise, and flash. Its tapered interface promotes concentricity between the suppressor and muzzle device and reduces carbon lockup after prolonged use. The FRC works with PWS PUB mounts, the Rearden Atlas Taper Mount, and the Plan B by Q Suppressor Adapter.

The MOD 2-M lower gives you ambidextrous control throughout, with an enhanced bolt release paired with a right-side lever, a Radian Talon ambidextrous safety selector that can be set for 45 or 90 degree throw, and a left-side magazine release lever alongside the standard button. A Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle, PicLok handguard combining Picatinny and M-LOK mounting, PTFE-coated Mil-Spec Enhanced trigger, PWS Enhanced Buffer System, and Magpul MOE SL stock and MOE K2 pistol grip round out the rifle.

The MK109 MOD 2-M is a great size for a compact .300 Blackout rifle, and a silencer is right at home on the end of it. Whether you need it for home defense, range use, or even light hunting, it's a great option that covers a lot of ground in a small package.

Running suppressed subsonic ammo, it's impressively quiet at the range, and the 1:6 twist is built with those heavier subsonic loads in mind. Swap to supersonic ammunition, like Barnes 110-grain projectiles at a good speed, and it becomes a solid choice for hunting too. The 3-setting gas system makes it easy to dial the rifle in as you move between loads and between suppressed and unsuppressed shooting.

PWS has a reputation for reliability, and the MK109 SBR is no exception. It has everything you want on a short AR-15, from full ambidextrous controls to the PicLok handguard and FRC compensator, and it's packed with useful features without getting overdone or adding things you don't need.
