The PWS MK107 MOD 2-M is a .300 Blackout short barrel rifle built on the PWS Long Stroke Piston System, with a 7.75" 416 stainless barrel, a Q LLC Shorty Stock, and receivers and handguard finished in OD Green Cerakote. At 5.2 lbs unloaded, this compact AR-15 platform SBR is optimized for suppressor use and sized for close-quarters work where a full-length rifle gets in the way.

A 3-setting adjustable gas system lets you tune gas flow for suppressed shooting, different ammunition types, and changing conditions. The system is designed to minimize back pressure and reduce gas blowback, keeping suppressed shooting cleaner and more comfortable. The barrel uses a 1:5 twist, chosen to deliver accuracy with .300 Blackout ammunition, especially heavier grain subsonic loads.

The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24 and ships with the PWS FRC 2-Port Compensator, a suppressor-compatible device that works with PWS PUB mounts, the Rearden Atlas Taper Mount, and the Plan B by Q Suppressor Adapter. Out back, the Q Shorty Stock and Shorty Buffer system keep the footprint minimal when collapsed.

PWS rates the MK107 MOD 2-M for sub-MOA accuracy with high-grade ammunition. It also features an ambidextrous lower receiver designed in-house, a PicLok handguard that combines Picatinny and M-LOK mounting, a Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle, and a PTFE-coated Mil-Spec Enhanced trigger.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

If you want an SBR that's as compact as it gets, the MK107 MOD 2-M belongs on your short list. Between the 7.75" barrel and the PDW-style Q Shorty Stock, there aren't many rifles that pack down this small. That makes it a great fit as a truck gun, something to toss in a backpack for a hike, or a rifle to keep next to the bed.

The trade-off is range. The caliber and short barrel limit how far this package can reach out, but most folks shopping for a compact SBR aren't planning to stretch it to extended distances anyway. Add a silencer like the Otter Creek Labs Infinity 7.62, Dead Air RXD30Ti, SilencerCo Scythe STM, or Diligent Defense Enticer S, and the whole setup still stays well below the size of a traditional unsuppressed rifle.

We also like the OD Green Cerakote. If you're tired of all-black ARs and want something a little more unique, this one stands out on the rack and at the range.
