The PTR VENT 1 is a 7.62x51mm suppressor built around PTR's patented Purposely Induced Porosity (PIP) technology. PIP uses a precision-engineered titanium foam structure to manage gas expansion throughout the suppressor, reducing both sound signature and backpressure compared to traditional baffle-based designs. The result is less gas in the shooter's face, less component wear, and a cleaner-running weapon. At 8.74 inches and 12.3 ounces, the VENT 1 is a monolithic, 3D-printed titanium body with no separate baffles, tubes, or welded joints, and it uses HUB (1.375x24) rear threads for broad mounting compatibility.

PEW Science independently tested the VENT 1 on a Savage Model 10 .308 with Federal XM80 ammunition and measured a Suppression Rating of 57.3. PEW Science noted that the VENT 1 outperformed the CGS Hyperion, Dead Air Nomad-L, Diligent Defense Enticer-L, and other high-performing .30 caliber suppressors on that platform. The monolithic construction also provides structural strength and efficient heat dissipation under sustained fire, including full-auto use, and a PVD coating protects the exterior against heat, erosion, and environmental wear.

The VENT 1 earned PEW Science's highest .308 bolt action suppression rating to date at 57.3, outperforming the CGS Hyperion, Dead Air Nomad-L, and Diligent Defense Enticer-L on the same test platform. PIP technology is different from anything else on the market. Instead of traditional baffles, the monolithic titanium foam structure traps and slows gases in a way that achieves both low sound signature and low backpressure. Most suppressors make you choose one or the other. The VENT 1 delivers both. At 12.3 ounces and 8.74 inches, it is not the shortest or lightest .30 cal option, but it is reasonable for the level of suppression it provides. The HUB threads mean you are not locked into a proprietary mount system.
