PTR VENT 2 TITANIUM SUPPRESSOR

The PTR VENT 2 is a 9mm suppressor built from a single piece of 3D-printed titanium. There are no welded joints, no stacked baffles, and no assembly seams. The entire body-to-core structure is monolithic, which eliminates the failure points found in traditional suppressor designs.

What sets the VENT 2 apart is PTR's patented Purposely Induced Porosity (PIP) technology. PIP controls gas expansion through engineered porosity within the titanium structure itself, allowing PTR to fine-tune density, heat capacity, and thermal conductivity in ways that conventional manufacturing cannot. The result is a suppressor that manages gas flow differently than standard baffle or flow-through designs. Internal venting and complex baffle geometry work together to reduce port pop and muzzle signature, while a hybrid flow-through design keeps backpressure low.

The VENT 2 is coated inside and out with a PVD-type finish that protects the titanium from muzzle gas erosion, reduces visual signature, increases surface hardness, and adds a low-friction surface for easier carbon cleaning. These coatings also provide high-temperature resistance across the full firing schedule.

PEW Science independently tested the VENT 2 on an HK SP5 and awarded it a Suppression Rating of 62.7, noting that its performance met or exceeded comparable suppressors while maintaining a higher flow rate, which reduces gas exposure to the shooter. PEW Science described PTR's PIP technology as one of the most significant advancements in suppressed small arms.
