Resilient Suppressors Buying Guide
Every Resilient suppressor we carry, from the Jolene and Simple Man .30 cals to Stacy's Mom, the Putnik AK can, the Free Bird and Ramblin Man multi-cals, the RS9 and Jessie's Girl AL: what each one is for, how they compare, and what PEW Science measured.
How to Choose a Resilient Suppressor
Resilient Suppressors is a veteran-owned company founded in late 2021 by Tyler Reeves, a U.S. Army veteran, and every Resilient suppressor is made in the USA. You'll know them by the names: each model is named after a classic rock song.
Pick by caliber first:
- .30 cal rifle: the titanium Jolene and Jolene S for hunting and precision rifles, or the stainless Simple Man for a full-auto rated all-rounder.
- 5.56: Stacy's Mom or the shorter Stacy's Mom K, stainless duty cans with swappable end caps.
- AK: the Putnik, built around AK threads and tolerances.
- One can for many calibers: the stainless Free Bird (.36 cal) or the titanium Ramblin Man (.46 cal). Both run long or short.
- 9mm and rimfire: the RS9 for PCCs and subguns, and the Jessie's Girl AL for .22 LR.
Every centerfire Resilient uses the HUB (1.375x24) rear thread, so it works with most major mounting systems. See mounts.
Strong Performance at a Lower Price
Several Resilient models are among the lower-priced suppressors in their category, and the independent testing holds up:
- Simple Man: one of the lowest-priced .30 cal suppressors we carry, and full-auto rated.
- Jolene S: costs less than most titanium .30 cal suppressors we carry, at 8.3 oz with its mount.
- Stacy's Mom and Stacy's Mom K: among the lower-priced 5.56 suppressors we carry.
- Jessie's Girl AL: one of the lowest-priced rimfire suppressors we carry, at 3.1 oz.
- Jolene: rated 50.4 on a 20 in. .308. PEW Science said it and its closest competitors "objectively outclass most 30 caliber rifle silencers evaluated on this host weapon system" (SSS.6.137).
- RS9: PEW Science called its technology "a novel contribution to the submachinegun suppression state of practice" (SSS.6.91).

| Jessie's Girl (original) | Beretta 21A pistol, CCI SV .22 LR | 81.5 | SSS.6.136 |
- Jolene: PEW Science found its sound reduction on par with the OCL Hydrogen-L while the Jolene is shorter and lighter, at 10.8 oz as tested. Its included direct thread mount has a built-in brake section that's part of how it performs.
- RS9: it gets quieter on shorter barrels: 61.5 on the 5.8 in. SP5K-PDW vs. 53.1 on the 8.9 in. SP5. PEW Science called that performance differential unprecedented in its testing, and noted extremely high suppression at the shooter's ear for its size.
- Putnik: also does better as barrels get shorter. PEW Science expects users will find it relatively high performing on standard AK rifles compared with several other .30 cal suppressors, with a deeper tone.
- Jessie's Girl: PEW Science tested the original titanium and steel Jessie's Girl and called it a high performing rimfire suppressor on both bolt guns and short pistols. The Jessie's Girl AL is the aluminum version.
PEW Science hasn't published tests of the Simple Man, Stacy's Mom, Stacy's Mom K, Free Bird or Ramblin Man.
What our customers say

How the Resilient Models Compare
Jolene vs. Jolene S vs. Simple Man
| Length with mount | Weight with mount | Material | Duty | Best for | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jolene | 9.125 in. | 12 oz | Titanium | Light duty, under 750 degrees F | Bolt guns; PEW Science tested |

Resilient Mounts and Accessories
- HUB rear. Every centerfire Resilient uses HUB (1.375x24), so you can run HUB direct thread mounts, QD mounts and 3-lug adapters from most major brands. Check the allowable mounting depth listed for your suppressor against your QD mount and muzzle device before you buy.
- Titanium Tri-Lug (Gen 2): a 9mm-only titanium 3-lug mount, 2.7 oz in HUB, for the RS9, Ramblin Man and Free Bird and other brands' HUB 9mm cans like the CAT MOB, OCL Lithium and SilencerCo Hybrid 46.
- Titanium Booster Housing: a 2.1 oz HUB booster for tilting-barrel handguns on the RS9 and Ramblin Man. It takes Resilient, SilencerCo, Rugged and YHM pistons (sold separately).
- Muzzle devices: Skip flash hiders, which speed up erosion; if you need one, a closed tine is better than a pronged one. A muzzle brake is the best choice if you want to run a QD mount. Shop rifle suppressor mounts.
- Tools and torque: no Resilient suppressor needs a proprietary tool. Torque mounts to 30 to 35 ft-lbs.
Resilient Suppressors FAQ
Who makes Resilient Suppressors?
Resilient Suppressors, a veteran-owned company founded in late 2021 by U.S. Army veteran Tyler Reeves. Every Resilient suppressor is made in the USA.

Free Bird vs. Ramblin Man: which multi-caliber Resilient should I get?
The Free Bird is stainless, .36 cal, rated to .338 Lapua and full-auto rated on 9mm. The Ramblin Man is titanium, .46 cal, 8.8 oz long vs. the Free Bird's 16.3 oz, and covers .45 ACP, 45-70 and big-bore AR cartridges, but is light duty on rifles.
How quiet is the RS9?
PEW Science rated it 53.1 on an 8.9 in. HK SP5 and 61.5 on a 5.8 in. SP5K-PDW. It gets quieter on shorter barrels, which PEW Science found unprecedented.
Does the RS9 work on a 9mm pistol?
Yes, with a booster. Resilient's Titanium Booster Housing fits the RS9 for tilting-barrel handguns and takes Resilient, SilencerCo, Rugged and YHM pistons.
