What to Know About Noveske
Noveske Rifleworks builds AR-pattern rifles in Grants Pass, Oregon, and is best known for its hand-chambered barrels. Nearly everything we carry from Noveske is a short-barreled rifle (SBR), set up from the factory to run with a suppressor.

N4, N6 and N9: what's the difference?
- N4 is Noveske's AR-15 platform. The N4 rifles we carry are 5.56 and 300 Blackout: the Diplomat, Shorty, Commando and Ghetto Blaster.
- N6 is Noveske's larger .308-size AR, built for 7.62x51 and 6.5 Creedmoor. We carry the N6 Leonidas SBR in 7.62x51.
- N9 is Noveske's 9mm line: a direct blowback AR that takes Colt-style 9mm magazines. We carry the Noveske9 (now called the N9 Space Creep) and the Space Invader.
What is a Switchblock?
A suppressor adds back pressure, so a rifle gassed to run without one runs harder with one on. Noveske's Micro-Switchblock has three settings:
- Suppressed: cuts the gas back for a suppressor.
- Unsuppressed: full gas for shooting without one.
- OFF: shuts the gas off, so the rifle doesn't cycle and you run the charging handle between shots.
Rifles with a Micro-Switchblock come with the Switchblock wrench, and the handguard has a cutout for it. You'll find it on the Shorty Micro-Switchblock SBR and the N6 Leonidas SBR.
Gen 3 vs. Gen 4 receivers
Both generations are billet 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hardcoat finish and take mil-spec AR-15 parts, and both lowers have an integrated trigger guard and a flared magazine well. Gen 4 is the current generation. What it adds:
- Ambidextrous lower: ambi bolt release and magazine release, with the hardware included.
- Oversized trigger guard for gloved hands.
- Tension screw to take up play between the upper and lower. On a Gen 3 lower you can add one, but it isn't supplied.
- Upper built for Gen 4 handguards: an anti-rotation interface and a profile contoured to match the Gen 4 NSR handguard.
We carry both as stripped receivers: the Gen 4 lower, Gen 4 N4 upper, Gen 3 lower and Gen 3 upper.

Noveske Ghetto Blaster (N4-PDW) 300 Blackout
A 7.94 in. 300 Blackout SBR on Gen 4 receivers with Q's PDW-style stock and a Q bolt carrier group.

Noveske sells it as the N4-PDW. On the 300 Blackout version you choose whether it's engraved "Ghetto Blaster" or "N4-PDW"; the engraving is the only difference. The Q stock rides on a reduced-length buffer tube, which keeps it short. It takes standard AR magazines.

Noveske N4 Commando 11.5" DDF SBR
An 11.5 in. 5.56 SBR with a mid-length gas system and Noveske's Disruptive Deep Flute (DDF) barrel.

The deep flutes cool the barrel 36% faster than a standard contour, which helps over long strings of suppressed fire. Geissele SD-E trigger, Badger Ordnance C1 safety, Love Handle, B5 Systems Bravo stock and MBUS Pro sights.
Noveske Noveske9 SBR
A 10.5 in. 9mm SBR on Gen 4 billet receivers. Noveske now calls it the N9 Space Creep.

Takes Colt-style 9mm magazines and has a paddle magazine release in addition to the AR-style button. The 1/2x28 threads take a direct thread suppressor, and the Noveske 3-lug adapter takes a 3-lug can. Comes with one 32-round magazine.
Noveske Space Invader 9mm SBR
Noveske's compact 9mm: an 8.5 in. barrel with an HK-style 3-lug mount machined into it, on the Q PDW-style stock.

Which Suppressor Fits Your Noveske
The Pig Pen's 1x16 left-hand thread fits CAT's quick-detach suppressors, like the QD versions of the CAT WB and CAT ST. For a HUB suppressor, take the Pig Pen off and put a HUB mount, like the SilencerCo Bravo ASR Mount or Dead Air Xeno Adapter, on the same threads. Use a shim kit to time it.

Buying a Noveske SBR
An SBR ships to you after your ATF Form 4 is approved, the same way a suppressor does. Since January 1, 2026, the NFA tax on SBRs and suppressors is $0, but you still file a Form 4 for an SBR. We file it electronically and ship the approved rifle to your door. Not every state allows SBRs; check the state list on our how to buy an SBR page.

Nothing but the engraving. On the 300 Blackout version you choose whether it's marked "Ghetto Blaster" or "N4-PDW." The 5.56 version is marked N4-PDW.
What stock does the Ghetto Blaster use?
Q's PDW-style collapsing stock on a reduced-length buffer tube. The Space Invader uses the same style of stock.
Noveske Diplomat vs. Ghetto Blaster: what's the difference?
Both are 7.94 in. 300 Blackout SBRs. The Diplomat uses a standard carbine extension and B5 Systems stock, so any mil-spec AR stock fits, and ships with a Pig Pen. The Ghetto Blaster uses the Q PDW-style stock and a Geissele SD-E trigger.
What is the Noveske Space Invader?
A compact 9mm SBR with an 8.5 in. barrel, an HK-style 3-lug mount machined into the barrel, Colt-style magazines and the Q PDW-style stock.
What suppressor fits the Noveske Space Invader?
Any 9mm suppressor that mounts to an HK-style 3-lug, like the SilencerCo Omega 9K with a 3-Lug Mount, the Dead Air Wolfman with the P-Series 3-Lug, or the B&T SQD-M9.
What is the Noveske Switchblock?
A gas block with Suppressed, Unsuppressed and OFF settings. Suppressed cuts the gas back for a suppressor, and OFF stops the rifle from cycling. The Micro-Switchblock is on the N4 Shorty Micro-Switchblock SBR and the N6 Leonidas SBR.
Is the Noveske 11.5 mid-length?
Yes. The N4 Commando 11.5 in. DDF SBR has a mid-length gas system.
What does DDF mean on a Noveske barrel?
Disruptive Deep Flute. The deep fluting cools the barrel 36% faster than a standard contour. The N4 Commando 11.5 in. SBR has it.
What suppressors work with the Noveske Pig Pen?
Suppressors with a 1x16 left-hand quick-detach mount, like the QD versions of CAT's suppressors. For a HUB suppressor, swap the Pig Pen for a HUB mount on the same threads.
