NOVESKE N4 SHORTY 10.5" MICRO-SWITCHBLOCK SBR - SHORT BARREL RIFLE, 5.56MM, SUPPRESSOR-OPTIMIZED, AMBIDEXTROUS

The Noveske N4 Shorty 10.5" Micro-Switchblock SBR is a factory-built suppressor-optimized short barrel rifle chambered in 5.56mm. Noveske's proprietary Micro-Switchblock system provides three discrete gas settings. Unsuppressed, OFF, and Suppressed. This allows shooters to manage bolt velocity and overpressure at the source rather than patching the problem downstream. The rifle is built on 4th Generation billet upper and lower receivers machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with Type III hardcoat anodizing and Cerakote, fitted with a 10.5" barrel, a 9.75" M-LOK free-float handguard, and a full ambidextrous control layout including Radian Talon safety, ambidextrous bolt and magazine releases, and Noveske Love Handle charging handle. An H2 buffer is included to handle the increased bolt velocity common in suppressed short-barrel configurations. If you are looking for a purpose-built 5.56 suppressor host, the N4 Shorty is engineered for exactly that role. 

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

Most short-barrel AR builds are an afterthought when it comes to suppressor use. You buy the rifle, add a can, and then spend time chasing reliability issues caused by excess backpressure on a gas system that was never tuned for suppressed fire. The N4 Shorty skips all of that. Noveske designed the Micro-Switchblock into this platform from the start, which means you have a dedicated Suppressed setting that manages the gas before it becomes a problem. The rest of the build reflects the same level of attention. The Love Handle charging handle, full ambi controls, and H2 buffer are not upsell items added to a base rifle. They are included because Noveske built this configuration specifically for the way suppressed SBRs actually get used. The 9.75" handguard leaves 0.080" of clearance to the barrel thread shoulder, which keeps suppressor mounting clean without the handguard running long.
