CAT ST (SUPER THUG) 5.56MM SUPPRESSOR - TITANIUM AND INCONEL

The CAT ST (Super Thug) is Combat Application Technologies' first universal 5.56mm suppressor, engineered to run across all traditional 5.56mm barrel lengths without platform-specific tuning or compromises. Built around proprietary SBX baffle geometry, the ST addresses all five suppressor performance categories simultaneously: sound reduction, flash mitigation, blast propagation control, toxic fume reduction, and long-term durability. Available in two material configurations, a 9 oz Ti-CAT titanium build and a 17.5 oz Inconel variant for maximum heat tolerance.  Both are finished in PVD, and you can choose between the 1.375x24 HUB interface or CAT's QD system. If you need one 5.56mm suppressor that runs everything from a 10.3" pistol to a full-length rifle without tuning, the ST was engineered for exactly that role. 

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

Most of CAT's silencers are focused one specific caliber and barrel length. The ST flips that around. The SBX baffle geometry was specifically designed to manage the pressure spikes that 5.56mm generates across the full range of barrel lengths. The result is a suppressor that runs quieter, cooler, and with less forward concussive overpressure than CAT's previous WB. The Titanium model at 9 oz is lightweight for a 5.56mm can and makes sense for anything you carry in the field. The Inconel variant at 17.5 oz costs you weight but buys you substantially higher heat tolerance, which matters if you are running a lot of volume or extended strings on a shorter barrel. Both carry the same PVD finish and HUB mount interface or QD system. The Inconel variant also drops the minimum barrel length to 10.3" versus 11.5" for the Titanium. At $1,040 to $1,090, depending on variant, the ST is priced competitively for what the engineering actually delivers.
