The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 S (model 02-128-07344-047) is a 5.56mm NATO AR15 style short barrel rifle built around a free-floating, 11.5" cold hammer forged Government profile barrel and a Daniel Defense MFR 10.0 M-LOK rail. It weighs 5.8 lbs and measures 27.875" to 31.25" overall with the muzzle device. Daniel Defense designed it to balance maneuverability, reliability, accuracy, and terminal ballistics across a wide range of ammunition.

Its carbine-length gas system provides smooth, reliable cycling under harsh conditions while reducing perceived recoil. The MFR 10.0 rail runs M-LOK attachment points along 7 positions with an uninterrupted 1913 Picatinny rail on top, leaving room for sights, optics, and accessories. Pairing the 11.5" barrel with the MFR rail ensures compatibility with a wide variety of muzzle devices and sound suppressors, and the barrel is threaded 1/2x28 under a Daniel Defense Flash Suppressor. An independently ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP Charging Handle accommodates left- and right-handed shooters, and the rifle comes with the Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol Grip.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The DDM4 V7 S gives you the compact handling of an 11.5" barrel while keeping the same Daniel Defense Buttstock, Pistol Grip, and GRIP-N-RIP Charging Handle found across the V7 line. At 5.8 lbs, it's light and easy to maneuver, and the MFR 10.0 rail still leaves plenty of room for a light, optic, and grip.

Daniel Defense built it with suppressors in mind, and the 1/2x28 threads make it easy to pair with any of the short 5.56 cans recommended in the Compatibility section below.
