YHM NIELSEN BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
The YHM Nielsen Booster Assembly (YHM-2055) replaces the direct thread adapter on any suppressor with 1.375x24 (HUB) threading. It allows tilting-barrel semi-auto handguns to cycle reliably when suppressed. Without a booster, the added weight of a suppressor on a tilting-barrel pistol can prevent the slide from cycling. The spring-loaded Nielsen device decouples the suppressor's mass from the barrel during recoil, letting the action function normally.
The housing is machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel with a black oxide finish. It threads into the suppressor's rear mount socket and accepts a separate piston (sold separately) that threads onto the host firearm's barrel. This setup lets you swap pistons to run the same suppressor on different handguns with different thread pitches.
While designed for the YHM R9 and Nitro N20, the booster works with any suppressor that uses 1.375x24 (HUB) threading, including models from SilencerCo, Dead Air, Energetic Armament, and others. It's also a common choice for Form 1 suppressor builds.
Note: This assembly does not include a piston. A piston must be purchased separately in the thread pitch that matches your host firearm's barrel. This assembly is not compatible with YHM Sidewinder pistons.

YHM WITH A BRAVO PITCH
The Yankee Hill Machine Nielsen Booster Assembly replaces the direct thread mounting system on any silencer with a 1-3/8x24 thread pitch. This is the pitch of the popular "Bravo" mounting systems. While designed for the YHM Nitro N20, it can be used with silencers from popular brands such as SilencerCo. Additionally, this part is popular among Form 1 silencer builders.
They are designed to be used with handguns and barrels which require a Nielsen Piston spring.
