YHM FAT CAT 5.56 SUPPRESSOR - COMPACT QD RIFLE SILENCER, 5.56 NATO / .223 REM

The YHM Fat Cat (YHM-2200) is a compact 5.56 NATO suppressor that trades slim-profile convention for a 1.94-inch diameter and a shorter 4.5-inch overall length with the included sRx adapter. The larger internal volume produces a deeper, lower tone and reduces gas blowback compared to traditional K-style cans, while 17-4 PH stainless steel construction with a Cobalt 6 blast baffle keeps it full-auto rated. Sound reduction measures 139 dB at the muzzle. The Fat Cat ships complete with an sRx QD HUB adapter (1.375x24) and an sRx Mini QD muzzle device in 1/2x28, so quick-detach capability is ready to go out of the box. The 1.375x24 HUB interface also accepts adapters from other manufacturers using the industry-standard mount pattern. 

At 4.5 inches overall, the Fat Cat runs a full inch shorter than the YHM Turbo K with its adapter installed. The stepped rear section mounts under most handguards while maintaining clearance for optics and accessories, making it a practical choice for short-barreled rifle builds where length and balance both matter.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The Fat Cat is designed to solve a problem found with K cans.  They're short, but loud. YHM's answer was to widen the tube instead of just shortening it. The extra diameter gives the gases somewhere to go, which is why the Fat Cat runs quieter than you'd expect from a 4.5-inch can. If you've shot a compact suppressor and come away unimpressed, this one makes it worth a second look. The 10-inch minimum barrel length makes this a reasonable fit on a 10.5-inch or longer SBR without any special configuration. It's a clean option for an SBR build where you want something short, full-auto capable, and QD-ready without a lot of additional sourcing work. The Cobalt 6 blast baffle is the same durability upgrade you see on dedicated full-auto suppressors, which tells you YHM built this to handle abuse.
