The YHM Bad Larry is a large-bore .338 suppressor from Yankee Hill Machine, built for big game hunting, competitive shooting, and long-range rifles chambered up to .338 Lapua Magnum. Its tubeless design is made from heat-treated 17-4 PH stainless steel and Cobalt 6, finished in black high-temp Cerakote, and it's full-auto rated. The Bad Larry measures 7.375" long, weighs 17 oz, and has a 1.75" diameter. YHM rates it at 136 dB on .338. The model number is YHM-2338-24.

One Bad Larry can cover a wide spread of rifle cartridges, including 5.56 NATO, .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 7mm PRC, .300 PRC, .300 Winchester Magnum, 8.6 BLK, and .338 Lapua Magnum. YHM lists minimum barrel lengths of 10" for 5.56 NATO, 10.5" for .308 Winchester, and 20" for both .300 Winchester Magnum and .338 Lapua Magnum.

Mounting is handled through HUB (1.375x24) threads, and the Bad Larry ships with a YHM 5/8x24 direct thread adapter so it can go straight onto a threaded barrel. It works with all YHM HUB accessories, including QD setups built around the YHM Phantom QD adapter or the YHM sRx QD adapter with 5/8x24 threads. YHM notes that its older 3702 and 3802 series QD mounts will not work with the Bad Larry.

Most .338 suppressors are long, heavy cans that make sense on a dedicated Lapua rifle and feel like overkill everywhere else. The Bad Larry flips that script. At 7.375" and 17 ounces, it's compact enough to live on a hunting rifle or a .308 gas gun without making the whole setup front heavy, yet it's still rated all the way up to .338 Lapua Magnum. The material choices back up that rating. Heat-treated 17-4 PH stainless steel in a tubeless design is a proven formula for durability, and YHM pairs it with Cobalt 6 for longevity, which matters when you're feeding it magnum cartridges or running it full-auto. We see it as a can built to take real abuse.

That size and caliber range make the Bad Larry a practical one-can answer for a safe full of rifles. Owners are running it across 6.5 and .30 caliber hosts, and it's a natural fit if you're building around 8.6 BLK. When the day calls for the big magnum rifle, the same can goes along.

Mounting flexibility is another win. The HUB pattern keeps you in the most widely supported ecosystem on the market, so you can stay with YHM's Phantom or sRx QD systems or choose from most HUB-compatible mounts. One thing to watch is that the older YHM 3702 and 3802 series QD mounts won't work with the Bad Larry, so check what you already own before planning your setup. Also review the barrel minimums before submitting your Form 4, since .338 Lapua Magnum and .300 Winchester Magnum both require a 20" barrel.
