THUNDER BEAST MAGNUS S-RR SUPPRESSOR

The Thunder Beast Magnus S-RR is the Reduced Recoil variant of TBAC's mid-length Magnus S. The RR designation stands for "Reduced Recoil" (also called "Race Ready"). Where the standard Magnus S uses a flat endcap, the S-RR replaces it with an integrated brake at the exit end of the suppressor. On .300 Winchester Magnum, this design reduces recoil by over 60% compared to a bare muzzle. A standard Magnus-CB with a flat endcap reduces recoil by 29% on the same cartridge.

Of all the Magnus RR variants (K-RR, S-RR, and full-size RR), the Magnus S-RR produces the most recoil reduction by approximately 2%. TBAC attributes this to the S-length hitting the optimal gas pressure at the RR brake ports. Suppression falls between the TBAC Ultra 7 (Gen2)/Dominus-CB and the Ultra 9 (Gen2), though the RR variant is approximately 10 dBA louder at the shooter's ear compared to the standard (non-RR) Magnus S. That trade-off is the cost of the added recoil reduction.

The CB version adds 1.5 inches and approximately 2.4 ounces over the standard Magnus S-CB, bringing total length to 8.4 inches and weight to 13.8 ounces. The all-titanium construction with a 360-degree fully-welded baffle core maintains TBAC's standard for POI (Point of Impact) repeatability.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S TAKE

The S-RR is the recoil-reduction pick in the Magnus lineup. The fact that it produces the highest recoil reduction of all the RR models makes it the natural choice for shooters running magnum cartridges who want to stay on target between shots. PRS competitors and hunters shooting .300 WM or similar will feel the difference. The trade-off is about 10 dBA louder at the ear compared to the standard Magnus S, so this is a suppressor where recoil management is the priority over absolute sound reduction. If you want the quietest mid-length option, go with the standard Magnus S instead. The CB version we stock is the simplest setup and shares mounts with the Ultra 5, 7, 9, and Dominus-CB.
