The SilencerCo Sparrow 22 is a rimfire suppressor rated for .22 LR, .22 WMR, .17 HMR, .17 WSM, and 5.7x28mm, with full-auto capability on .22 LR. Built from 17-4 and 316 stainless steel at 5.08 inches and 6.5 ounces, the Sparrow was SilencerCo's first product and remains one of the top-selling rimfire suppressors on the market. Sound suppression measures 112.7 dB on .22 LR, 124.5 dB on .17 HMR, and 127.7 dB on 5.7x28mm. The 1/2x28 thread mount covers the vast majority of rimfire hosts, and a wide range of adapters is available for pistols and specialty platforms. The Sparrow's Multi-Part Containment (MPC) system and monolithic core design address the biggest maintenance problem in rimfire suppressors: seized baffles. The interior clamshells scrape clean with a nickel, and the monocore disassembles without tools or stuck components. High-volume shooters can run 2,000 or more rounds between cleanings. Rifle applications show no discernible first-round pop. Pistol applications have a slight first-round pop.
