SOF 86K SUPPRESSOR - 12.2 OZ TITANIUM BUILD WITH HUB MOUNT
The SOF 86K is a titanium (Ti64) suppressor built for 8.6BLK and 338ARC, produced through 3D metallurgical additive manufacturing and finished in a black NANO G coating. It measures 6.60" long and 1.90" in diameter, weighs 12.2 oz, and attaches with a HUB (1.375x24) mount. SOF designed the 86K for short barrel PDW builds and semi-auto use, with a maximum velocity rating of 3000 FPS.
No mount ships with the 86K, so plan on pairing it with a HUB (1.375x24) mount or adapter. The HUB interface opens up a wide range of options, and any HUB compatible mount will work for attaching it to your host. A 10" minimum barrel length applies to the 86K. For durability, SOF rates it at two 30-round magazines to heat threshold at a 1-second cadence, and the recommended cleaning interval is every 3,000 rounds.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
If you're running 8.6BLK and want to keep weight down, the 86K is a great pick. The titanium (Ti64) build keeps it at 12.2 oz, and at 6.60" it's shorter than most 8.6BLK silencers on the market, so your rifle stays light and handy up front.
We also like the HUB mount. You can use nearly any popular mounting system on the market to attach it, which means you aren't stuck with one brand's muzzle devices.
It doesn't have the over-the-top durability of SOF's Inconel models, and it's designed for semi-auto use. Even so, it's more than durable enough for as much semi-auto 8.6BLK shooting as you can handle.
