SILENCERCO SALVO 12 SUPPRESSOR - HEARING SAFE, 6" TO 12" MODULAR LENGTH

The SilencerCo Salvo 12 is a modular, hearing safe 12 gauge shotgun suppressor built from 17-4 stainless steel and 7075 aluminum. It runs on gas-operated, inertia-driven, and pump-action shotguns, mounting through SilencerCo Echo Choke Adapters that screw into the barrel's choke threads. The Salvo 12 can be set up at 6", 8", 10", or 12" to suit sporting clays, waterfowl, turkey hunting, home defense, and other applications. In its full 12" configuration, it measures 134.5 dB on a 24" semi-auto.

Every Salvo 12 ships in the 12" configuration. Its 12 baffles stack on a set of rods between the front and back caps, and a shorter SilencerCo Echo Rod Kit lets you remove baffle pairs to bring it down to 10", 8", or 6". Overall length ranges from 6.74" to 12.5" and weight from 19.6 to 34.4 oz, depending on configuration. Because the Salvo 12 is user serviceable, the rods and baffles come apart for cleaning, and it also reduces felt recoil on every length.

Echo Choke Adapters come in Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full spread patterns for Remington, Remington Pro Bore, Mossberg 500, Benelli Crio/Crio Plus, Beretta/Benelli Mobil, Beretta Optima HP, and Browning Invector Plus choke systems. Not every pattern is offered for every system, and the Mossberg adapters do not fit the Mossberg 835 or 935. Ammunition compatibility covers wadded shells up to 3", including buckshot and non-rifled slugs. Rifled slugs and flight-controlled wads are not compatible. Steel shot should not be fired through Improved Modified or Full adapters, and steel shot with Beretta Optima chokes requires an Improved Cylinder. Velocity limits depend on barrel length, with a maximum of 1,550 fps on barrels 16" and longer and 1,350 fps on barrels from 10" to 16".

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The Salvo 12 earns its place by being flexible. Its full 12" configuration is impressively quiet, and we've run it on both pump-action and semi-auto shotguns without any issues. It also takes a noticeable bite out of recoil, which makes a long day of shooting easier on your shoulder and gives newer or younger shooters a much better experience behind a 12 gauge.

Where this can really shines is in picking your length. We like the 8" and 10" configurations for hunting, where a shorter, lighter profile matters more than squeezing out every last bit of suppression. The 6" setup makes the most sense for defensive use on short-barrel shotguns, where maneuverability comes first. Since the Salvo 12 ships at 12", grab a rod kit for whichever shorter length you plan to run.

For bird hunters, putting the Salvo 12 on a semi-auto like a Browning Maxus or Beretta A400 makes a dove hunt a lot more enjoyable, for you and for the dog working alongside you. Cleanup is straightforward too. The rod-and-baffle design comes apart without much fuss, which matters on a shotgun suppressor that will collect plastic wad residue over a season of real use.
