RUGGED, WITHOUT THE WEIGHT
With the Alaskan 360, Rugged has created an ultra-lightweight, versatile, multi-caliber silencer. It can handle long hunting adventures to hard days at the range, and everything else that falls in the middle. While primarily a rifle suppressor, it can also be used on pistols, subguns, and even .338 Lapua Magnum. Even though the Alaskan doesn't weigh down the rifle, it's still built for a lifetime of shooting. The Grade 5 Titanium construction gives the silencer a weight of only 11.8 ounces.
The Rugged Universal Mount (R.U.M.) is also new to the lineup, being released with the Alaskan 360. Included in the box with the suppressor, the R.U.M. offers back-end modularity. It is compatible with all Rugged rifle muzzle devices but can be removed and replaced with many other industry-standard mounting solutions. This offers flexibility for the Alaskan, but also the ability to adapt other common suppressors to Rugged's industry-leading mounts.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
The Rugged Alaskan 360 brings something new and exciting to Rugged's lineup. It's the company's first ultra-light silencer, the first able to handle larger bore rifle rounds, and the first to utilize the Bravo/Omega mounting system. The last feature now gives users the ability to simplify their mounting types with cross-compatibility between Rugged and other brands. The 9mm bore doesn't mean it's really well suited for pistols. It's still a rifle suppressor at heart but performs well on firearms such as an MP5, .357 lever gun, or even an AR in 350 Legend.
