PWS MK118 MOD 2-M RIFLE - 18" 6MM ARC LONG STROKE PISTON AR-15, AMBIDEXTROUS

The PWS MK118 MOD 2-M is an 18" 6mm ARC AR-15 rifle built on the PWS Long Stroke Piston System, with a fully ambidextrous lower receiver made from 7075-T651 forged aluminum. Weighing 7.3 lbs unloaded and optimized for suppressor use, it's built for long-range precision and versatility, making it a fit for precision shooters, hunters, and tactical applications.

The 6mm ARC chambering offers flat trajectories, reduced recoil, and strong energy retention. The 18" barrel uses a 1:7.5 twist to handle all types of 6mm ARC ammunition, and PWS rates the MK118 MOD 2-M for sub-MOA accuracy with high-grade ammunition.

A 3-setting Adjustable Gas System lets you fine-tune performance for different conditions, including suppressor use. The suppressor optimized design minimizes back pressure, reduces gas blowback, and optimizes gas flow for a cleaner, more comfortable shooting experience. At the muzzle, the PWS FRC 2-Port Compensator helps control recoil and muzzle rise, and works with PWS PUB mounts, the Rearden Atlas Taper Mount, and the Plan B by Q Suppressor Adapter.

The ambidextrous lower is designed in-house by PWS, with a flared mag well and built-in trigger guard, and the design eliminates the forward assist. A PicLok handguard combining Picatinny and M-LOK mounting, Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle, PTFE-coated Mil-Spec Enhanced trigger, PWS Enhanced Buffer System, and Magpul MOE SL Carbine Stock and MOE K2 Grip round out the rifle.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

6mm ARC is a great cartridge for longer range shooting on a smaller frame AR, and the MK118 MOD 2-M is set up to get the most out of it. The 18" barrel and 1:7.5 twist give the cartridge room to work, so you get the flat trajectory and energy retention 6mm ARC is known for without moving up to a larger, heavier rifle. Add PWS's sub-MOA accuracy rating and fully ambidextrous lower, and it's a strong option whether you're stretching out at the range or carrying it in the field.

It's also an excellent suppressor host. The long stroke piston and 3-setting gas system are built to cut back pressure and blowback, so the rifle stays cleaner and more comfortable when you're running a can.
