PTR VENT 3 TITANIUM 5.56 SUPPRESSOR
The PTR Vent 3 is a dedicated 5.56x45mm suppressor built from 3D-printed titanium. It uses PTR's patented Purposely Induced Porosity (PIP) technology to increase internal surface area, which improves gas expansion control and sound reduction. The entire structure is monolithic, meaning the body and core are printed as a single piece. This eliminates the welded joints found in traditional suppressor construction and improves both durability and thermal resistance.
At 11.75 ounces without a mount, the Vent 3 is one of the lighter dedicated 5.56 suppressors on the market. It measures 7.75 inches long and 1.625 inches in diameter. Despite its light weight, it carries a full-auto rating and holds up to hard use.
Low backpressure was a design priority. Reduced backpressure means less gas blowback to the shooter, cleaner operation, and less need to retune your gas system. PEW Science tested the Vent 3 on a 10.3-inch MK18 and noted that the combination of muzzle and ear suppression was unprecedented in their testing for the platform.
The Vent 3 ships with a 1/2x28 direct thread mount installed in the rear HUB (1.375x24) interface. That HUB threading means you can swap to a wide range of industry-standard quick-detach and direct thread mounting options from Dead Air, SilencerCo, Q, YHM, and others.
PTR recommends cleaning the PIP structure around every 1,500 rounds and a full cleaning cycle at 5,000 rounds, depending on barrel length and ammunition. A good rule of thumb from PTR: weigh your suppressor when new and clean it when it picks up close to an ounce of weight.

The Vent 3 from PTR is designed specifically for 5.56x45 and is right at home on your favorite AR-15. This exceptionally quiet suppressor combines traditional silencer design with PTR's innovative Purposely Induced Porosity (PIP) technology. This tech allows for more surface area inside the full titanium silencer. The Vent 3 is amazingly light and efficient and still retains the strength required for hard use.
Backpressure was also a consideration when developing the Vent 3. Reducing backpressure allows for less recoil, cleaner operation, less gas into the shooter's face, and a more reliable weapon. In addition to those benefits, it provides a quieter experience to the shooter than other high-backpressure offerings on the market.
The 3D-printed monolithic body-to-core structure sets a new silencer durability and thermal resistance standard. The PIP technology lets PTR control strength, density, and thermal properties to optimize Vent 3's control over gas expansion. Even though PTR's 5.56 silencer is as light as a feather, it can withstand hard use and still sound great.
A 1/2x28 direct thread mount is included and installed into the rear portion of the Vent 3's HUB/Bravo pattern. This thread pitch allows for numerous industry-standard mounting solutions, and the Vent 3 will most likely accept it, no matter what mounting choice you prefer.
