The Otter Creek Labs Infinity 556K is a compact 5.5-inch K-can suppressor built from Haynes 282 nickel-cobalt superalloy using DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) additive manufacturing. Haynes 282 outperforms Inconel 718 at extreme temperatures and is printed into a single-piece body with no weld seams or mechanical failure points. Rated for 5.56 NATO and 6mm, the 556K ships with a medium vented backpressure end cap installed, with low and high backpressure end caps available separately for tuning gas return to the specific host and ammo combination. HUB 1.375x24 rear threading gives access to virtually every QD and direct thread mounting system on the market. The 556K weighs in at 14.5 oz without a mount. Haynes 282 is a nickel-cobalt superalloy developed for high-temperature use cases, and it outperforms Inconel 718 at the temperature ranges that matter most under sustained fire. OCL already uses Inconel 718 in the full-size Infinity 7.62, so stepping up to Haynes 282 for the 556K reflects the higher thermal demands of a compact K-can profile where heat has less mass to dissipate into. The DMLS construction eliminates the weld seams and joint interfaces that are the most common structural failure points in conventionally manufactured suppressors. 

The interchangeable end cap system is a unique feature that most suppressors skip. Backpressure tuning is not a one-size-fits-all problem. A short-barreled DI host running a carbine gas system has different needs than a mid-length or rifle-gassed host, and ammo selection adds another variable. Shipping with the medium vented end cap and offering low and high options separately means you can actually dial in the gas profile for your specific setup rather than accepting whatever the manufacturer defaulted to. At 5.5 inches, the 556K keeps the overall package short enough for SBR and close-quarters builds without giving up meaningful suppression performance.
