Griffin's patent-pending Nickel 625X outperforms additively manufactured INCONEL 625 by approximately 68% in yield and tensile strength at 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. At 1,472 degrees, the printed Nickel 625X material exceeds the performance of cold-formed INCONEL 625 sheet stock tested at room temperature. That matters in a suppressor designed for sustained fire. The printed core is laser-welded to a machined rear section, which keeps the suppressor warranty-serviceable without sacrificing the precision internal geometry that DMLS manufacturing makes possible.

The 5.56 suppressor market has no shortage of options, but most cans make you pick one priority. Suppress well, or run clean. The HRT-556 AM was designed to refuse that tradeoff, and the material engineering behind it is the reason it can. Nickel 625X is not a rebadge of an existing alloy. Griffin developed it specifically for this application, and the performance numbers at sustained high temperatures back it up. The ultra-low backpressure stack is a very beneficial aspect of this suppressor.
