ENHANCED SUPPRESSION, GATE-LOK COMPATIBLE
The Griffin Armament M4SD-L is a 5.56 silencer that incorporates a number of well-loved features Griffin has developed. It combines the Gate-Lok mounting system, tubeless laser welding, Eco-Flow baffle technology, and a Pressure Reduction Cap into one suppressor.
The Gate-Lok system allows the M4SD-L to be attached to a number of Griffin's muzzle devices but more importantly, to A2 birdcages. Any A2 birdcage or similar muzzle device built to USGI specifications can accept the M4SD-L without modifications. This means not only saving money on the purchase of extra muzzle devices, but it also gives the M4SD-L the ability to be installed on virtually any modern AR-15 in seconds.
The tubeless design of the M4SD-L accomplishes two major goals in silencer development. Without an additional tube, less material is used, resulting in a lighter silencer. It also allows for more internal volume, as useable space inside the baffle stack replaces excesses and unnecessary metal on the outside. Since 2010 Griffin has been improving this technology and leading the way for the silencer industry. The 17-4 stainless construction allows for hard use on select-fire and short-barrel rifles.
Eco-Flow baffle design enhances the performance of the M4SD-L in two different ways. The first and most obvious is a more efficient design translating to a quieter silencer. The second and often overlooked aspect is a reduction in backpressure. This allows the host firearm to operate more naturally. Less blowback, softer recoil, enhanced reliability, less wear-and-tear on components, and a cleaner firearm are only a few benefits of the reduction in backpressure.
The patent pending Pressure Reduction Cap features high-performance internal and external flash-reducing features, as well as optimally tuned gas vents which not only enhance flash reduction even further but also improve sound performance in conjunction with the Eco-Flow baffles.
