EXIGENT DEFENSE FIRECAT22 SUPPRESSOR - ULTRALIGHT INCONEL 718 RIMFIRE SILENCER

The Exigent Defense FireCat22 is a lightweight rimfire suppressor built from Inconel 718 using Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), giving it a service life that can outlast conventional stacked-baffle rimfire cans. At just 6.75 ounces and 5.0 inches long, it delivers strong sound suppression and minimal first-round pop without the wear issues that may plague heavily used .22 caliber suppressors. Integral 1/2x28 direct thread mounting keeps the design simple, and the Cerakote C-102 Graphite Black finish adds abrasion and corrosion resistance on top of the nickel-based superalloy build. 

Nickel-based superalloy construction gives the FireCat22 exceptional resistance to heat, erosion, and the aggressive cleaning rimfire ammunition demands. The DMLS manufacturing process eliminates weld seams entirely, removing the most common failure point in traditional rimfire suppressor builds while enabling internal baffle geometry that cannot be produced through conventional machining.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The FireCat22 is made by printing the whole baffle stack as a single Inconel 718 piece. There is no seam to erode and no joint to work loose, which is an advantage for long-term durability and minimizing point of impact shift. At 6.75 ounces, this is about as light as a durable rimfire can gets, and the 5.0 inch length keeps it manageable on both pistols and rifles without adding excessive muzzle weight. The DMLS process also means Exigent Defense can shape internal geometry that would be impossible to cut on a lathe or mill, which is part of why a suppressor this light and this small can still perform well acoustically. For a shooter who puts a lot of rounds through a .22 and wants a can that will not need repair or replacement down the road, the FireCat22 is worth a serious look.
