CGS GPMG SUPPRESSOR - M240B BELT-FED MACHINE GUN SUPPRESSOR, DMLS 718 INCONEL

The CGS GPMG is the only suppressor engineered from the ground up for the M240B general purpose machine gun. Built from DMLS 718 Inconel, a nickel-chromium superalloy selected specifically for extreme heat resistance and structural integrity under sustained stress, the GPMG is designed to handle extended belt-fed fire without baffle failure, cycling issues, or structural degradation. The 25/32x24 direct thread pitch mounts directly to factory M240B barrels with no adapter required. CGS's DMLS manufacturing process enables internal geometry not achievable through conventional machining, and the backpressure profile is optimized to keep the 240B cycling at a manageable rate during extended strings of fire. This is not a rifle suppressor pressed into machine gun service.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The M240B is one of the most demanding platforms you can put a suppressor on. Sustained belt-fed fire generates heat loads and backpressure cycles that will destroy suppressors not built for the task, and most cans on the market are not. CGS did not adapt an existing design for the 240B; they engineered the GPMG specifically around the platform's operating pressures and thermal signature.  The controlled cyclic rate benefit is worth noting for anyone running a 240B in a training environment, where managing round expenditure during sustained fire has operational value.
