CAT CM 6.5MM SUPPRESSOR - PURPOSE-BUILT .264 BORE FOR 6.5 GRENDEL THROUGH 6.5 PRC

The CAT CM is a dedicated 6.5mm suppressor bored to .264, built for the 6.5 family instead of borrowed from a .30 caliber can. At 11.4 ounces in Ti-C and 8.20 inches overall, the CAT CM uses Sniper 2.5 technology and a PVD finish to regulate gas and pressure across the full 6.5 lineup, from 6.5 Grendel up to 6.5 PRC. The tight .264 bore cut drops muzzle sound further than an oversized .30 cal can and keeps unburnt powder inside the suppressor long enough to finish burning. It mounts on the 1.375x24 HUB pattern and ships with a 1/2x28 direct thread adapter. This is a limited run of 300 units.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

Most 6.5 shooters have been told for years that a .30 cal suppressor is close enough. The CAT CM makes the case that it isn't. A bore cut for .264 instead of .308 means less gas escapes into the open, and that tighter fit is the reason for the lower flash and lower report, a difference that shows up most at last light when your night vision actually matters. The 6.5 family spans a wide pressure and powder charge range, from Grendel on the low end up to PRC on the high end. The CAT CM's internal volume and geometry were sized to regulate across that entire spread rather than just the middle of it, which is where a lot of "universal" 6.5 cans fall short. With only 300 units in this run, this is not a can that will be sitting on shelves long.
