CAT BBK .338 SUPPRESSOR - DUAL-ROLE SUPPRESSION FOR SUBSONIC AND PRECISION RIFLE

The CAT BBK is a .338 caliber (8.6mm) suppressor built for two roles: subsonic large-bore platforms chambered in 338 ARC and 8.6 BLK, and supersonic precision rifle applications in .338 Lapua Magnum. Most .338 suppressors are designed around a single use case. The BBK is optimized to perform across both subsonic close-range and supersonic long-range shooting within a single platform.

Built using CAT's SNIPER3 technology, the BBK is 3D-printed from Grade 5 titanium through Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF). This process allows for internal geometries that are not possible with traditional machining. The design is caliber-specific, tuned around the pressure profiles of 338 ARC and 8.6 BLK subsonic loads while still supporting .338 Lapua Magnum on longer barrels. A DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) finish protects the exterior against corrosion and wear.

The rear interface is a 1.375x24 HUB thread, giving access to the full ecosystem of HUB-compatible mounts and muzzle devices. No mount is included. Because .338 barrels are offered in multiple thread pitches, shipping without a mount lets you pair the BBK with the correct direct thread adapter or QD system for your specific host.

The BBK fills a gap that has been growing since 338 ARC and 8.6 BLK started gaining traction. These cartridges were designed around subsonic terminal performance, and the BBK is one of the first suppressors built specifically to optimize for their pressure profiles rather than being adapted from something else. The fact that it also handles .338 Lapua Magnum on longer barrels means you are not locked into a single-purpose can. The no-mount-included approach is the right call here, given the variety of thread pitches across .338 hosts. Pick the direct thread or QD system that matches your barrel, and you are set.
