BOSS TOP SHOT SUPPRESSOR - PRS COMPETITION SILENCER WITH BRAKE END CAP, 6MM AND 6.5MM
The BOSS Top Shot is a dedicated 6.5mm PRS competition suppressor, rated for 6.5mm and 6mm cartridges and built to balance muzzle control with sound suppression when seeing your hits and staying on target matter most. It measures 6.15" long and 1.5" in diameter and weighs 12.3 oz without a mount, with 17-4 H900 stainless steel baffles, mount, and cap inside a Grade 9 titanium tube. The Top Shot is full-auto rated and finished in Glacier Black High Temp Cerakote rated to 1,800 degrees F.
Inside, BOSS's proprietary Nikola Tesla-inspired, coaxially-vented baffles route gases through the silencer for a longer duration than a standard baffle configuration, reducing overall report compared to other silencers of similar size. The brake end cap then re-accelerates the remaining gases into its brake chambers to maximize muzzle control, especially when shooting positional. BOSS developed the Top Shot from its team shooters' years of PRS experience and offers it only in stainless steel to manage heat between stages.
The Top Shot ships with a 5/8x24 direct thread mount, and its HUB (1.375x24) thread pattern accepts any HUB-compatible mount, including the SilencerCo Bravo ASR Mount, Dead Air KeyMo Adapter, and Plan B by Q Suppressor Adapter.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
A lot of the 6.5mm cans you'll see at a PRS match are general-purpose suppressors that just happen to work for competition. The Top Shot comes at it from the other direction. BOSS built it specifically for 6.5 cartridges and stage shooting, where you need to spot your own impacts and get right back on target.
For us, the brake end cap is what really sets it apart. You get added recoil reduction on top of the suppression, so the rifle stays flatter and you can actually watch your hits through the scope, even off a barricade or an awkward position. Pair that with coaxially-vented baffles that keep gas in the can longer, and you get solid suppression without hanging much extra length off an already long competition barrel.
If you're a PRS competitor or a long range shooter running a 6.5 (or 6mm) bolt gun, this is a purpose-built competition can, and that focus is exactly why we like it. HUB compatibility is a nice bonus too, since you're not locked into one mount brand if your rifle setup changes down the road.
