BOSS CHAIRMAN K SUPPRESSOR - COMPACT 6" FULL-AUTO RATED .30 CALIBER SILENCER
The BOSS Chairman K is a compact 6" .30 caliber rifle suppressor for 7.62mm/.308 rifles and the shortened "kurtz" version of BOSS's flagship Chairman. It measures 1.5" in diameter and weighs 12 oz without a mount, with 17-4 H900 stainless steel baffles, mount, and cap housed in a Grade 9 titanium tube. The Chairman K is full-auto rated, has no barrel-length restrictions, and is finished in Glacier Black High Temp Cerakote rated to 1,800 degrees F.
Inside, BOSS uses its proprietary Nikola Tesla-inspired, coaxially-vented baffles. They route gases through the suppressor for a longer duration than a standard baffle configuration would, which brings down the overall report compared to other silencers of similar size. Full-power 7.62mm/.308 loads aren't the only intended use, either. Subsonic 300 Blackout is a strong match for the Chairman K, particularly on rifles that already run a short barrel.
This version ships with a 5/8x24 direct thread mount and BOSS's Standard end cap, which BOSS designates for non-gas-blowback actions such as bolt guns and piston-operated rifles. Because the Chairman K uses the HUB (1.375x24) thread pattern, it also accepts any HUB-compatible mount, including the SilencerCo Bravo ASR Mount, Dead Air KeyMo Adapter, and Plan B by Q Suppressor Adapter.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
Compact .30 cal cans usually ask you to make a trade. You get a shorter, handier rifle, but you give up a noticeable chunk of suppression compared to a standard 7" or 8" can. What got our attention with the Chairman K is that BOSS goes right after that problem. They claim the best sound suppression of any 6" x 1.5" silencer, and they credit their coaxially-vented baffles for it, keeping gas in the can longer instead of just shortening a normal baffle stack and hoping for the best.
Where we see it fitting best is on SBRs and short 300 Blackout setups, where a longer can starts to make the rifle feel clumsy. It's also a great pick if you're running a 7.62x51mm (.308) host and want a dedicated .30 cal can without dropping down to something 5.56-sized. Honestly, if a 6" .30 cal suppressor is what your build calls for, the Chairman K is the one we'd look at.
