AMBIENT ARMS STRATOS .22 SUPPRESSOR - FULL-AUTO RATED, TITANIUM, .22 LR TO 5.7X28MM

The Ambient Arms STRATOS .22 is a full-auto rated rimfire suppressor, 3D-printed from titanium and the first .22 caliber suppressor to use Ambient's patent-pending Ambient Intake System. It weighs 4.5 oz, measures 5.4" long with a 1.2" diameter, and is rated for .22 LR, .22 MAG, .17 HMR, and 5.7x28mm with no barrel length restrictions. A 1/2x28 direct thread mount, a C-Series Cerakote Matte Black finish, and TRL 9 status with validation by the Army Research Lab (DEVCOM) round it out.

Intake ports paired with strategic low-pressure zones draw cool ambient air into the suppressor, where it mixes with hot muzzle gases. Ambient Arms says this greatly reduces operating temperatures, lowers the report at both the muzzle and the shooter's ear, and mitigates unwanted blowback. An integral ported barrel and purpose-designed muzzle face make up Ambient's shock wave management system, built for clean bullet release and tighter, more repeatable groups on rimfire pistols, rifles, and 5.7x28mm hosts.

Hosts without standard threads can still run the STRATOS .22 with adapters such as the Walther P22 / S&W M&P22 Adapter or the CMMG FNH PS90 Thread Adapter, with more options listed under Compatibility below. For maintenance, Ambient Arms recommends a de-fouling immersion bath every 1,000 rounds and suggests Suppressor Sauce for the job.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

Rimfire suppressors haven't changed much in years. Most still rely on the same baffle approach that's been around for decades, with small tweaks to materials or geometry along the way. The STRATOS .22 takes a different path. Ambient Intake is a genuinely new way to manage heat and gas inside a rimfire can, and seeing DEVCOM validate it at TRL 9 tells us it has been through serious third-party scrutiny beyond in-house testing.

So what does that mean at the range? Lower temperatures make it more comfortable to handle after a long string, and less blowback means less fouling working its way back toward you and the action. The integral ported barrel and redesigned muzzle face help with shot-to-shot consistency, too. Best of all, at 4.5 oz you aren't paying for any of it with extra weight.

It'll run on pistols, rifles, and 5.7x28mm hosts with no barrel restrictions to worry about.
