FAST-ATTACH 90T 5.56 SUPPRESSION
The AAC SR-5™ utilizes the AAC 90 Tooth Ratchet Taper™ fast-attach system that enables users to securely install or remove the silencer in less than three seconds using an intuitive motion and gross motor skills. The rock solid interface of the 90 Tooth Ratchet Taper™ system minimizes point-of-impact shift and enables users to fully explore the accuracy potential of their host weapon. The durable, fully-welded 100% Inconel 718 baffle core of the AAC SR-5 silencer is designed to minimize back pressure and features a newly designed blast baffle that provides additional erosion resistance for use with short barreled hosts.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
AAC is legendary in the suppressor world. They helped bring 300 Blackout into popularity, manufactured the iconic 9" MPW, and made iconic cans such as the Ti-Rant series and SDN-6. One complaint about the previous 51T mounting system was the "wobble" or potential to not quiet get to the last tooth. This didn't cause any real world issues, but felt uncomfortable to many shooters. This was resolved with the 90T mount, used in the SR-5 and SR-7. If you enjoy 5.56 AAC suppressors but always wanted a bit more solid lockup with the mount, the SR-5 will fill that role.
