AAC HUB2K SUPPRESSOR - FULL-AUTO RATED, HUB-COMPATIBLE, 5.56 TO 6MM CREEDMOOR

The AAC HUB2K is a full-auto rated 5.56 suppressor made from DMLS 3D-printed Inconel 718 and built for AR-15 rifles and carbines. AAC developed it as an update of the M4-2000, adding a HUB rear socket and a printed structure that is lighter and stronger than a traditionally welded assembly while conducting heat more efficiently. The HUB2K measures 6.04" long with its direct thread mount, weighs 12.7 oz, and has a 1.5" diameter with a high-temp Cerakote finish.

Although optimized for 5.56, the HUB2K is rated for 5.56/.223, 6mm ARC, and 6mm Creedmoor. Its oversized 6mm baffles help reduce backpressure and minimize end cap strikes on SBRs, which makes it a natural fit for short-barreled AR-15 builds. AAC rates it at 134.4 dB measured at the muzzle (left, A-weighted), a 34 dB reduction, on a 14.5" Colt 5.56 with XM193.

Out of the box, the HUB2K ships with a 1/2x28 direct thread mount that has a built-in muzzle brake. Its HUB (1.375x24) rear socket also lets owners reconfigure it with most HUB-compatible mounts, including AAC's S.T.A.M.P. 51T Mount Adapter. Before using another manufacturer's adapter, the manual directs users to confirm it is fully compatible.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The M4-2000 earned a reputation as one of the toughest 5.56 cans ever made, and the HUB2K carries that lineage forward with modern manufacturing. Printing the body from Inconel 718 lets AAC build internal geometry that traditional machining and welding can't, and Inconel is exactly what we want in a can that's going to see heat, pressure, and a lot of rounds. The full-auto rating is another good sign. Plenty of 5.56 suppressors don't have one, and it tells you this can was built to be used hard.

We're big fans of the oversized 6mm baffles. Opening up the bore cuts down on backpressure, which matters on gas-sensitive hosts and especially on short-barreled ARs, where gas to the face and harsh cycling are common complaints. It also gives 6mm ARC shooters another strong option to consider.

Mounting is another strong point. With HUB rear threads, you can run QD systems from Dead Air, SilencerCo, Q, Griffin Armament, YHM, and Energetic Armament, along with AAC's own S.T.A.M.P. 51T Mount Adapter. The included 1/2x28 direct thread mount has a built-in brake, so you can put it to work right away on most AR-15 barrels. If you want an M4-2000 style workhorse with better flow and more mounting flexibility, the HUB2K is an easy recommendation. For a .30 caliber can to pair with it, the AAC 762-SDN-6 is worth a look.
