AAC 300-SD SUPPRESSOR - MODULAR, TITANIUM, HUB MOUNT
The AAC 300-SD is a modular .300 Blackout suppressor built from 3D-printed titanium and designed to make subsonic .300 BLK ammunition as quiet as possible. That focus makes it a dedicated subsonic suppressor, though it is also rated for supersonic .300 BLK, which is its max caliber. In the long configuration, it measures 8.00" and weighs 12.2 oz, while the short configuration comes in at 5.43" and 5 oz, with a 1.60" diameter either way. The lightweight titanium build is durable and heat-resistant, and this titanium suppressor is especially well suited to compact .300 BLK SBRs.
As a modular suppressor, the 300-SD uses a two-piece configuration. Shooters can run the long setup when they want more suppression, or drop to the short setup when the smallest overall footprint matters most. AAC lists a 5.5" minimum barrel length for .300 BLK.
Mounting is handled through a HUB (1.375x24) rear interface, making the 300-SD a HUB-compatible suppressor that isn't tied to a single mounting system. Out of the box, it ships with AAC's Hub Mount (1x16LH) and a Blackout Flash Hider (1x16LH, 5/8x24), which lock together through a combination of threads and tapers. Owners who already run another system can swap the included mount for other HUB-compatible mounts, and the owner's manual directs users to confirm full compatibility before installing another manufacturer's adapter.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
If you shoot .300 BLK, the 300-SD was made with you in mind. AAC designed it around keeping subsonic ammo as quiet as possible, and it stays light while giving you two lengths to work with. Run it short when you want the smallest footprint you can get, or long when you want more suppression. A .300 BLK bolt gun will be an even quieter host, but where this can really shines is on a compact .300 BLK SBR.
We also like the HUB compatibility. You aren't locked into the included mount, so if you already have a mounting system you prefer, it can be swapped in quickly.
The main thing to know going in is that this is a single-purpose suppressor. AAC rates it for .300 BLK only, so plan on dedicating it to that cartridge. That's the tradeoff. You give up the versatility of a multi-caliber can, and in return you get a suppressor made specifically around the pressure curve of .300 BLK.
