Quick Overview

THUNDER BEAST'S COMPACT MASTERPIECE

The Dominus features best-in-class accuracy, better dB reduction than the Ultra 7, and full titanium construction to keep the suppressor as light as possible.  This is all wrapped into a compact package, with more mounting options than competing silencers.

Compared to the Ultra 7, the Dominus CB/HUB is 3/4 of an inch shorter, but slightly larger in diameter.  This, combined with the tubeless design, allows Thunder Beast to reduce its size and increase internal volume.  The Dominus comes in at 126dB with a 20" 308 at the shooter's ear, putting it between the Ultra 7 and Ultra 9 in terms of performance. While a larger diameter than the Ultra series, it comes in at the same weight per volume.  At 6.25" long it only weights 9.6 ounces, making it the lightest suppressor in class.  For those folks that think weight doesn't matter, they've never experienced fatigue of extra weight during a hunt, or larger POI shift between suppressed and unsuppressed.  TBAC's ultra-light titanium cans are popular with PRS shooters, defense professionals, and avid hunters for a reason.

Options are important, and the Dominus gives them to you.  For mounting systems shooters can pick between CB, SR, and HUB versions of the Dominus.  The CB is their traditional taper-mount is by far the most popular.  The conical shoulder on the brake provides a solid lockup and maintains accuracy without additional length and weight.  The CB system is great for anyone who wants a minimal footprint and no moving parts.  The SR (secondary retention) mounting system adds a tad more weight and complexity but also provides an additional step of security.  Designed for the defense professional, SR versions are best suited for those who may be in adverse conditions or simply wish for extra security for their silencer. The muzzle device and mounting system will also allow the SR version to be used with a more aggressive firing schedule.  The HUB (also known as Bravo or Omega) uses the 1.375x24 thread pitch found in many modern silencers.  Because this is an industry-standard thread pitch, it allows for nearly any major manfacurer's mounting system to be used in the Dominus HUB.  The HUB is ideal for those seeking the highest level of customization.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

Thunder Beast is largely popular due to their extremely lightweight suppressors.  For years, they have been the go-to for precision shooters and hunters who value having the lightest suppressor in class on the end of their rifles.  For many people, the Ultra 7 was the perfect length, but the Ultra 9 sounded better.  There was a trade-off.  Shooters had to decide if they wanted top-tier performance or compact size.  The Dominus was developed, and that decision is a thing of the past.  It's slightly shorter than the Ultra 7 but sounds better.  It's between the Ultra 7 and 9 in terms of dB reduction but beats both of them in length and weight.  With three available models (CB, SR, and HUB) users now have the option to use nearly any commercially available mounting system.
