THUNDER BEAST'S LATEST CB SILENCER

The Dominus CB from Thunder Beast is a variant of their latest suppressor, the Domunus SR.  The Dominus CB features best-in-class accuracy, better dB reduction than the Ultra 7, and full titanium construction to keep the suppressor as light as possible.  Based around the Dominus SR, the CB mounts to Thunder Beast's popular Compact Break flash hiders and muzzle brakes.  This allows it to be compatible with mounts used in the Ultra series of suppressors.

Compared to the Ultra 7, the Dominus CB is 3/4 of an inch shorter, but slightly larger in diameter.  This, combined with the tubeless design, allows Thunder Beast to reduce size and increase internal volume.  The Dominus comes in at 126dB with a 20" 308 at the shooters ear, putting it between the Ultra 7 and Ultra 9 in terms of performance.    

While larger diameter than the Ultra series, it comes in at the same weight per volume.  At 6.25" long it only weights 9.6 ounces, making it the lightest suppressor in class.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

Thunder Beast is largely popular due to their extremely light weight suppressors.  For years, they have been the go-to for precision shooters and hunters who value having the lightest suppressor in class on the end of their rifle.  For many people, the Ultra 7 was the perfect length but the Ultra 9 sounded better.  There was a trade off.  Shooters had to decide if they wanted top tier performance, or a compact size.  The Dominus was developed and that decision is a thing of the past.  It's slightly shorter than the Ultra 7, but sounds better.  It's between the Ultra 7 and 9 in terms of dB reduction, but beats both of them in length and weight.  The Dominus CB is not cheap, but it fills a gap in TBAC's previous lineup.
