The Third Echelon Development Glock Gas Cap is a precision two-piece, CNC machined steel slide cover plate designed to eliminate suppressor blowback on Glock pistols. It replaces the factory slide cover plate in minutes and uses a contoured steel shroud to direct excess gas and debris downward and away from the shooter during suppressed fire. Finished in hard black nitride for corrosion resistance, the Gas Cap weighs just 0.3 oz and fits Glock Gen 3, 4, and 5 OEM slides with no permanent modifications and no tools required. Suppressor blowback on Glocks is one of the most common complaints among suppressed pistol shooters, and it is one of the easiest problems to overlook when building out a setup. Factory slide cover plates were never designed with suppressed use in mind. Running a can significantly increases the volume of gas cycling back toward the shooter, and if you have ever taken a face full of gas and carbon on a suppressed Glock, you know exactly why this matters. The Gas Cap addresses that with suppressor-specific engineering rather than a workaround. At 0.3 oz it adds nothing meaningful to the pistol, and the hard black nitride finish means it will hold up to the same round counts as the rest of your build.
