PTR 9SDM-B SBR SUPPRESSOR PACKAGE - 9MM SHORT-BARRELED RIFLE WITH VENT SDM TITANIUM SUPPRESSOR

The PTR 9SDM-B is a factory-integrated 9x19mm suppressed SBR package built on the roller-delayed MP5 platform. It pairs a purpose-built 6-inch ported barrel with the VENT SDM.  The SDM is a DMLS 3D-printed titanium suppressor designed exclusively for this system.  The 9SDM-B ships with the PTR CS1 collapsible stock, a 13.2-inch full-length Picatinny rail, M-LOK aluminum handguard, Magpul MBUS Pro Steel backup iron sights, and two 30-round steel magazines. The ported barrel uses precision-machined slots in the rifling grooves to bleed gas before the bullet exits, reducing supersonic muzzle velocity to subsonic without requiring dedicated subsonic ammunition. Gas is then captured by the USDA (Universal SD Adapter), PTR's integrated pre-suppressor chamber, before entering the VENT SDM. The VENT SDM uses Purposely Induced Porosity (PIP) internal microstructure and a DLC-coated exterior to maximize gas volume, reduce back pressure, and resist corrosion. This is not a suppressor-ready host with an aftermarket can bolted on. It is a complete, purpose-engineered suppressed system.

The USDA is threaded to accept both HUB Alpha (1.125x28) and HUB Bravo (1.375x24) suppressor patterns, giving the 9SDM-B long-term mounting flexibility if you choose to run a different suppressor down the road. The VENT SDM ships installed and uses the HUB Bravo (1.375x24) interface. The bolt carrier is nitride heat-treated, tungsten dead-blow weighted, and cut to a full-auto pattern. The charging handle is extended and threaded to accept most Remington 700 pattern bolt knobs.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The "integrally" suppressed 9mm SBR category has gotten crowded, but most packages in it are hosts with a compatible can tossed in the box. The 9SDM-B is different. The ported barrel is a functional solution to the problems that have plagued so-called SD suppressors for decades. By porting gas before bullet exit, PTR eliminates the supersonic crack without subsonic-only ammo, prevents bullet jacket damage from ported gas, and significantly reduces fouling inside the can. The VENT SDM is not a general-purpose 9mm suppressor adapted to fit the system. It was built for this barrel and this gas management approach. DMLS titanium construction with PIP internal geometry is engineering-forward manufacturing, and the DLC exterior coating handles the abuse that a dedicated suppressed host is going to see regularly. The 13.2-inch full-length Picatinny rail and PTR CS1 collapsible stock round out a package that is ready to run from the factory.
