The Griffin Armament QD Blast shield was designed to reduce concussion to the both the shooter and others nearby. While it works best on short barrels, it can be used on any barrel length. It directs the concussive force forward instead of two the sides, and the quick disconnect attachment method allows for rapid reconfiguration. 17-4PH stainless steel is used to construct a device strong enough to withstand full auto fire from short barrels without fear of failure. The appearance is designed to mimic the QD silencers, both adding appealing cosmetics and increasing the strength to weight ratio.
The QD mechanism is designed to be mounted to A2 style compensators. It can be used with the Griffin SDQD series of mounts, to include the M4SD Flash Comp, Muzzle Brake, Hammer Comp, Linear Comp, Compensating Flash Hider, Tactical Compensator, and 30SD Flash Comp. A2 compatibility was designed around USGI A2 spec and can be used on any muzzle device that uses those blueprints. It is not compatible with BCM, BCE, or PWS muzzle devices.

*Silencer interface was designed to fit the USGI A2 government contract compliant muzzle devices. We cannot guarantee fitment with an A2 style compensator due to the broad tolerance range of both import and domestic devices from various brands. For guaranteed fitment, we recommend the purchase of a Griffin mount.
